How did your pet get its name?

Well, I've seen my fair share of some pretty wacky names on CS. Most of them could have only been reached from a pretty weird line of thought, of maybe even a story. So I started this thread, my curiosity over the stories that could stem such odd names unleashed.

I just ask you to please keep on topic, also, don't post a Warrior Cat with it's book name. That's not very original. xD

To start us all off, here's one of my pets and a short tid-bit on how he got this name.

Pet's name: Kaito Kaiser


This, is Kaito Kaiser. Which I think is a pretty awesome name. His name, funny enough, was from me trying to decide what name sounded better; Kaito or Kaiser? So, I put both the names in the name box for a side-by-side comparison. Upon doing this I stumbled upon this combination. I thought it sounded like a Japanese Rock band of some sort. So I kept it. xD And now he has a groovy hoodie to match his rock-star-esque name! He's even breaking a drum stick with his paw, so hardcore. ;o

To welcome in the new store items I've renamed one of my dogs!




Once known as the beautiful Lilac, I have since changed her name to Ume, meaning 'Plum Blossom' in Japanese. This is both to wish Tess and Nick a safe trip on their holiday, but also to fit with her new and elegant style.

This is Common Cold. She was named that because her nose is slightly pinkish, and that immediately gave me a picture in my mind-the cold! when you catch the cold, doesn't your nose turn very *uncomfortable* and pink? and doesn't your face sometimes turn pale?

Pet's name: Kalbim ♥ ♂
i named him Kalbim because the two marks on his face looks like two hearts.he was my first rare and i wanted to give him a name that has something to do with hearts.the best name i could think of was 'My Heart'.i wanted a better name so i thought that it might sound better if translated it to Turkish.so the name 'Kalbim' is Turkish for 'my heart'.

This is Ailu. Her full name is Ailurophobia (: She was my first dream pet when I was new, so I wanted her to have a special name. So I sat there and searched through a list of phobias xD Ailurophobia seemed to have a nice ring to it, and the meaning was kinda funny. It means fear of cats x3


This is Zel, Ailu's daughter. Zel's full name is Zelophobia. I wanted her name to go along with Ailu's, so I picked another phobia. I liked the way Zelophobia sounded. The meaning really has nothing to do with her, but it means the fear of jealousy.

Pet's name: Moonshoes Potter
"You cant just go to Pigfarts! It's on MARS, you need a rocketship! Do YOU have a rocketship, Potter?! I bet you do. You know, not all of us inherited enough money to buy out NASA when our parents died! Look at this! Look at this! It's ROCKETSHIP Potter! STARKID Potter! MOONSHOES Potter! Traversing the galaxy on intergalactic travels to Pigfarts!"

I name my pets too much by their looking; I'm trying to avoid that and use more interesting names D;
heres one example.



She's Cherry Caramel.
Caramel because of her caramel - looking and being, Cherry because she has cherry colored eyes and a tiny shade of that color in her snout also. :3

Snowflake.

People think it's weird that I call a black dog snowflake. Well, he was so named because when I adopted him as a newborn, he had a blanket wih snowflakes on it, so I thought he would grow up to have snowflakes on him! He didn't, but the name kinda stuck anyway. :3

I still think it would be awesome to have a black dog with falling snowflakes on his coat, though. o.o With maybe a pile of snowflakes on the feet? *heads off to suggestions thread*
