What are the Guardians of the Sea?
- All in one the Guardians are a type of Merhorses. But they are a mix between a merhorse and a dragon. They live in the Caribbean Ocean, where it is almost warm through the whole year. But some statements refer that they were also seen at some other places. It does not often happen that people saw them, but it's reported that they already saved some human lifes.
- The Guardians have strong fins - because of this they can swim around 60 km/h fast. So they are able to escape from their, one and only enemy, the white shark. They don't have any other enemies, because the Guardians are much exceed than any other fish. Reportedly they are around 6-8 feet tall.
They can reach an age of 80 years, the oldest Guardian reached an age of 100 years.
- Guardians of the Sea have any natural (horse) colors with bright markings. Very Rare are Guardians which have no Natural Base Color. But as I said, they are very rare. Rarely you can see a Guardian with less or without any markings. Albinos were not seen often, only two reports tell about a Guardian Albino.
- You can differ Male from Female Guardians. Male Guardians always have a neacle around their neck. This neacle is often silver or golden. The pearl which is fixed at the neacle have often the same color as their markings or their eyes but more likely like the markings. But Female and Male Guardians have a trinklet about their fin - the color is a little bit brighter than the pearl.
The Horns and hooves have often bright colors, only rarely they are dark.
What are HGoS though?
- Hippocampus Guardians of the Sea are fish based Guardians. If you breed two HGoS you will have a chance of 50% that the foal will also be a HGoS; if you breed a normal GoS x HGoS you have a chance of 15% to get a HGoS foal. Sometimes also a wild HGoS will be up for adoption to avoid the inbreeding.
- The HGoS gene cannot be requested in breedings.
How you can adopt a Guardian:
- All Guardians you can adopt will have "Adopt me!" written on them. The ones without are not up for adoption/have already beed adopted.
- You can only adopt a Guardian once every 5 days. If you recently won a GoS you need to wait 5 days before you can win another one.
- Please use the form you find on the adoption page, don't add or remove any point, otherwise your form will be ignored. Small form edits like centred or resized is ok.
- To edit forms are normally not allowed, only if the artist say so.
- You can only try once for a Guardian, otherwise the artist will tell you.
- The form for adopting will be find on every Guardians page. If there's no form that means you can not adopt it.
-NEW: In order to adopt a Guardian you need to have our stamp (provided below) in your signature. If you have too less space in your signature a link back to the Adoption Topic will work too. For those who have GoS art can also use that and link it back here. So you have 3 different options given.
- Customs will only be aviable through contest. But I'm open for coat suggestions.

- Don't remove the signature.
- You should be registed at least one month on CS, before you can adopt a Guardian.
- If you do not want your Guardian any longer, tell me and it will be put back for re-adoption.
- No ownership-limit. Keep an eye on your growing herd though.
- If you dont own the Guardian you're not allowed to use any picture of him.
