My hamster, Kidibi, is having a bit of trouble. Her "castle", or habitat, has been invaded by hungry ants looking to steal her food. I am turning to you, fellow Chickensmoothians, to help plan an epic defense against the attacking army.
All joking aside, the room where my hamster is in seems to have been invaded by black ants. I searched the room for any food, and found none. While searching, I discovered that they have a line from the doorway, leading up a dresser, and all into my hamster's cage. She was running around and panicking, so i put her into her small traveling cage and into another room. Now with the ants.
They seem to be after her food(of course.). Normally when ants invade i would get rid of the reason they came. This incident is a bit tricky, though- if I take out her food, Kidibi starves. If i leave it alone, ants will terorize her and eat the food. Poison is not an option, since the ants would merely bring it into her cage. Puting her in a different room isn't an option either, as my father forbids it. What i am asking of you, fellow Chickensmoothians, is to help find a hamster friendly ant repel/killer that could hopefully be made at home(while it doesn't have to, it would be quite helpful since it is midnight here, meaning my parents will not allow me to go to the store, and this needs to be dealt with as soon as possible.) Any ideas would be most graciously welcome, and thank you in advance for helping!
(I didn't know where to put this, so since it involves my pet, Kidibi, i thought i would post here. Please don't eat me if I'm wrong!)
