“I think you have me confused with someone else,” Eaglewing meowed.

“I’ve seen you and my mother together though,” she meowed.

"Eaglewing, what is she talking about?" Littledapple asked cautiously.

[Mist]

“I have no idea,” he meowed with a shake of his head.

“Don’t lie to her!” Falcon hissed. “You told us how great Clan life is and how you would come back for us when the tome was right.”

“I’m telling you kit that you have your cats crossed,” Eaglewing meowed again.

[WinterWanderer]

"Eaglewing," Silverstar made her way to the warrior. "Tell us the truth...now." She demanded in a steady voice.

[Mist]

"I am telling you the truth," Eaglewing meowed.

"You better be," Nettlefrost growled as he exited the elders' den. "For your sake."

[WinterWanderer]

"Eaglewing, if what you say is true, swear upon my father Graystar's name and grave," Silverstar ordered. "If what you say is false...I will leave the punishment to others."

Leafstorm stood beside her mate, glaring towards Eaglewing. Lightpaw and Gingerpaw both stared at their father from across the camp.

[Mist]

"I swear upon Graystar's name and grave that what I say is true," Eaglewing meowed. "I'll swear it on Duskstar's name and grave if I have to."

[WinterWanderer]

"May StarClan strike you down if you have lied," Silverstar said, turning away.

[Mist]

"I haven't," he meowed as Falcon snorted softly.

Silverstar didn't reply as she made her way to her den, where her kits were glancing out with wide-eyed curiosity.
