Hey! Dragons are always old enough to trade [if they're not from the cave] since you can only trade eggs and unnamed hatchlings. Adults can't be traded, only killed or released.
To trade dragons, you only need an adult magi dragon, otherwise known as an orange dragon. They're pretty common so you shouldn't have trouble finding one, or you can ask if someone will breed one for you.
