Birchkit was born in WoodClan, and was your typical kit that wanted to become a strong warrior like her father, Aspenwood and older brother, Ashwillow. While doing her apprenticeship with her mentor, she accidentally managed to get herself stuck in a briar bush and it took her mentor a while to pull her out. She had to go to the medicine cat den because of that. After completing her apprenticeship, Birchpaw was named Birchbriar, no matter how much pride she feels for having a piece of her mother's warrior name in her own the memory of being stuck in the briar bush still haunts her mind to the present day.
