Hi! I'm Autumn - oh, you know that already. Welcome to the Butterfly Cat center! Well, before you go off, I'll tell you some things you need to know. Pay attention! - if you break the rules seriously enough, you will be banned from this center.

*Litters are usually FCFS (First Come First Served)
*Be kind!
*Don't ask when litters/customs/etc will be out
*Keep all posts here Butterfly Cat - related
*All posts in this thread should be customs/litters/codedrops/etc, all conversations, breeding advertisements, questions, etc should be posted in the fanclub
*Don't post 'mark.' There is a nice 'bookmark topic' button at the bottom of this page!
*Only adopt one litter cat a day
*Don't whine, beg, etc
*Don't steal the lineart or anything else that isn't yours!
*Don't steal someone else's pet!
*You may post your pet off-site, but contact ~Autumn Fox~ first
*Don't point fingers - the mods will handle it!
*Before breeding your cat with someone else's, you MUST SPEAK TO THEM ABOUT IT and get their permission

Hi! My name is Turtle. I guess you're a little confused, right? I mean, who wouldn't be if they found out about a whole new species? Okay, then, I'll tell you the basics. We Butterfly Cats live for about 20 years. We feed on the nectar from flowers. Butterfly Cats won't grow up unless you choose you want them to. If you feed a young Butterfly Cat normal flower nectar for it's whole life, it will never change stages. But if you give a young Butterfly Cat nectar from the Shimmersplash Flower a certain amount of times, they will grow up! We call that 'special feeding.' In the wild, we build nest-like homes in the trees, and when living in a human environment, the couch is the best place to be. Now,
I'll tell you the facts that are unique to each stage of life.

As eggs, Butterfly Cats will often roll after their owner, wanting to play! The pattern on the egg's shell usually resembles the pattern that will be on the caterpillar's fur.

In caterpillar form, Butterfly Cats are very lazy, and love to ride on your shoulder! These furry caterpillars' fur will usually resemble the colors of the chrysalis they will soon build.

When Butterfly Cats are in their chrysalis (cocoon), they might seem boring, because they always seem to be asleep. That's not true! Just turn on some music, and watch them wriggle and turn! The pattern on the chrysalis usually gives away what the cat will look like when it emerges.

When the cat emerges from its chrysalis, you will usually find a very cute small cat awaiting you! Butterfly Cats are curious by instinct, and once they are used to the outside world, you might find yourself with quite a handful! The color of a Butterfly Cat ranges from the deepest reds to the brightest blues, so you won't ever find a boring cat.

Here, you can race your pet with others' cats! Once in a while, a race will be set. You can enter ONE pet per race. It doesn't matter which stage your pet is in, they all get a fair chance at winning. The winner will be drawn with a random number generator. You might be wondering what the prize is? For third place, you win a bronz trophy and 10 FP. For second place, you win a silver trophy and 15 FP. And finally, for first place, you win a gold trophy along with 25 FP! Good luck!

Here, we have some stuff that you can buy with your Flower Pots! Before you go crazy shopping, make sure you've been added to the bank and have enough Flower Pots.

Age Potion

Cost: 20
You can use an Age Potion to change the age of your Butterfly Cat! You can change it to egg form, caterpillar form, chrysalis form, or cat form! Recommended for aging your young pet to the adult stage so you can breed it. This potion is much faster than feeding.

This is where you can breed your cats, or one of your cats with someone else's cat! Butterfly Cats can have up to four eggs. Be patient! It can take up to two weeks for the breeding process to be completed. Cats that are hunting can't breed, and your Butterfly Cat(s) must be at the adult stage to breed. Please don't post a form if you know all the breeding slots are closed. We will raise the young pets until they are in caterpillar form, which is what you will get them as. Also, if you're breeding your cat with someone else's, you must speak to them about it and get their permission.

If you don't have enough to buy an age potion at the shop but want to age up your young pet, you're at the right place! Once a day, you can feed your juvenile pet, and once it reaches 10 feeds it will evolve to the next stage! Buying a potion is much faster, but it costs Flower Pots, while this way of growing your pet is absolutely free! Although you do need patience. To see how many feeds your pet has, go to the Archive!

A guest artist is like a regular artist, but they are only an artist for 2 weeks. If they enjoyed the job, they can immediately become a permanent artist if they'd like. Recommended for users who want to gain some experience before choosing to become a full artist.
