Cedarwhisper watched Finchstar warily from one side of the camp and, trying to stay calm, thought to herself. Why would someone attack Finchstar? Maybe it was a rogue? She quickly glanced at the camp entrance, half-expecting the attacker to burst through and try a second attempt.

Tornadostorm has just got back from the dawn patrol, and was black hearing words like “Finchstar” and “attack” and she felt both her fur and her heart rate spike. Who would dare attack a leader? She ran up to a clan mate. “What’s going on?!”

The warrior's glossy black coat shone in the sunlight as he slipped out of the warrior's den, his amber eyes narrowed. Spidertail was both shocked and angered that someone in the clan had made an attempt on the leader's life. He padded over to Scorchflame, his tail standing straight.
He couldn't help but notice him glaring at Cherrystorm. "I see that you already have a suspicion." He said to him quietly as he sat down beside the other warrior. The tension building in the clan burned his pelt and he could tell that it would get worse before it got better.

morningstep’s eyes flickered to sparrowpaw, fright in her gaze. “someone attacked finchstar,” she said hurriedly, glancing back up to her leader. “finchstar, i suggest you eat now. it can be very easy to forget if you’re in shock.”
[i’m abstaining this round! i haven’t had enough of a feel for the other characters yet.]

Finch’s eyes flickered nervously his fur rising a bit. ”I am not allowed... to say who did it....they will hurt this Clan, hurt me...” He breathed quickly his heart racing. ”Morningstep....please gather and prepare herb packs just in case..” His eyes flickered across the cats. Cheerystorm, arrange a patrol...we don’t want this turn of events to mess up our Clan’s supply of prey....meeting adjourned!” Finch leapt down his tail lashing behind him. A bit shakily he padded to get some prey. He lifted a small mouse and started to eat gingerly picking the rodent apart. Small spots of blood speckled his whiskers lightly.

Whiteshade padded into the camp, carrying a mouthful of prey from today's hunting patrol. She looked up, alarmed when she felt tension in the air. Quickly, she set her prey on the fresh-kill pile, and walked over to the group of cats gathered near the center of the camp. "What's going on?" she meowed.
