kalon's name: Nyx (the Greek Goddess of the Night)
kalon's gender: Female

Backstory (just want her to have one XD): Nyx used to be a constellation flying through the sky. However, she was very sad and wished to interact with other kalons and humans. Nyx begged the night sky to let her go to the land. Although the night sky loved Nyx and loved how she danced among the stars, the night sky let Nyx fall to the land. However, Nyx had to go back to the night sky every summer so she could brighten the night sky again. She's very hard to find and vanishes quite often.

        Summary:

Illygos, in short, is an infamous desert bandit, leader of the Scarlet Serpent's ruffian army. A strong force comprised of merciless men on horseback, they, with Illygos's help, have mastered survival, and rule this no-man's landscape with a bloodied iron grip. His very name and presence commands a foreshadowing type of respect. Emitting from him is an aura of dread and doom, and often causes an uncomfort that drives people to flee the room after only a few brief moments.

An extensive knowledge of the desert's ways allows him to essentially re-write the laws of the desert wasteland with his sword. He possesses a priceless amount of information regarding its flora, fauna, and preserving one's life in such a desolate environment. It is said that all who mock or spite the emperor will feel the scorpion's sting.

Long before he was commanding an army of cruel barbarians, Illygos was born to a mother who spent her lifetime mastering ways to charm or tame lesser beasts of the wasteland, learning intimate details about their behaviors and how to control them, and a bounty hunter father who lived to strike fear into the hearts of anyone who was a target. The combined knowledge and lust for adventure from both of Illygos's parents set him up to be the child prodigy of something great, or something terribly wicked. When his parents were assassinated by a group of wrong-doers who sought revenge on Illygos's father for a bounty contract he had carried out, Illygos's impressionable young self deviated to the latter, and he began carving the path to becoming Illygos The Scorpion.

        The Bitter Genesis:

After Illygos’s unfortunate and traumatizing family tragedy, he grieved only briefly in memory of his parents. Both his mother and father had been thick-skinned characters, and taught him that while crying is natural, being weak will get you killed out in these wild lands. When his tears had dried and he gave both his parents the proper ceremony they deserved, he began his work on figuring out how he was going to survive on his own from here on out.

Suspecting that the men who had killed both of his parents would likely come back to ransack the house that they now presumed was empty and ripe for the picking, Illygos made quick work of sorting through important maps and books that he may need and collecting food supplies that could last in the desert’s harsh conditions. After only a couple of days, Illygos saddled up his father’s ebony stallion with all he could carry and left his childhood home.

Following maps that had been recorded by his father and the stars, he sought his way out to nearby towns. In those towns, Illy wisely spent his time helping with small - usually physically laboring - jobs to collect a bit of coin to slowly replenish his supplies. He had no end goal, there was no wish to settle down somewhere and he did not crave attention or recognition from anyone. Instead, he made his way across the desert’s barren lands, learning everything there was to learn about the desert and all she held within her.

        Median:

As Illygos grew, so did his reputation. By his late teens the jobs he had taken became tougher and tougher, and he had formed into a very formidable opponent. Already, he was one of the most knowledgeable when it came to avoiding, or if need be, fighting, the feral demons that haunted the sand dunes at night. His lone wolf habits led him to essentially not care for anyone or anything other than himself or what belonged to him. When he hit twenty years old, he had gotten word that a battle arena had been constructed in a close by kingdom, and that the winner of the matches received a large prize in the form of gold and infamy. Curiosity peaked by the proposition, Illygos headed off in search for the rumored arena, looking to perhaps leave the place with his pockets full of gold and higher quality supplies.

Upon finding the arena, Illygos quickly learned that he had been greatly underestimating his own strength. Many of his foes in the ring were much larger and more brutish than himself, although his endurance, agility, and wits proved to be an unbeatable force. The king of the land who had built the arena begged at the champion’s feet to become a knight in his army, and Illygos hesitantly accepted the offer. He was curious on what this new lifestyle had to offer and where it may bring him.

While under the king’s ruling, Illygos efficiently did the man’s dirty work, taking out whoever he requested without hesitation or questions asked. This new duty of serving a semi-corrupted king boosted his infamy to a new level, and his title of Illygos The Scorpion begun it’s slow formation.

Things progressed mundanely for Illygos throughout the next couple of months, he was making quick work of the king’s weak enemies and happily reaped the reward of whatever riches the king provided him. His father’s stallion who he had still kept alive was in thriving condition, and everything seemed to be running a smooth course. However, Illygos was getting bored of the knight life. While he appreciated the positive upgrades in supplies and housing, he did not care to be tied down to one location for such a long period of time. With fingers and feet itching to return to the lone ways of a desert rogue, Illygos searched his mind for ways to make an easy slip back into his old life, no strings attached. By fate or a miracle, that escape would come in the form of the king’s daughter, Hestia, knocking on the door to Illygos’s chambers with one simple yet daunting request; Kill the king.

Poison was to be the cause, Illygos would slip it into his wine at dinner, and immediately excuse himself to begin his exit before the king showed signs of struggle. No one in the kingdom had trusted Illygos anyway, they didn’t like his seemingly shady and stone-faced character, and his aura of dread left the noblemen in the castle wary and on guard around him. He was the perfect man to carry out the deed, they’d never suspect it was Hestia behind the plan. Although Hestia was skeptical about Illygos making a successful getaway, Illygos reassured her with a smirk that his horse was a fast one, and this wasn’t the first time he’s had to make a life-saving flee.

As suspected, the scheme went smoothly without any bumps, hiccups, or people getting in the way. The last memory Illygos has of that kingdom is the panicked screams and yells of it’s castle dwellers and the chiming of the church bells as he took off into the vastness of the open desert.

        A Change of Pace:

After many months spent rekindling his lone wolf habits, Illygos was finally back where he had left off. He existed only alongside his stallion and the stars, just like he liked it. It was only when Illy stopped to make a quick visit to restock his food supplies in an off-the-map village that things changed for him once more. The same evening he arrived, a large band of raiders thundered over the horizon and spilled into the small village, wreaking havoc among the grass huts and innocent people. They slaughtered everything and everyone in their path - everyone except for Illygos.

He was a formidable warrior, and already had quite the name on his shoulders as Illygos the King Slayer. The leading raider was impressed with Illygos’s natural swordsmanship skills, and rather than wasting his men by trying to bring Illy down, offered a better solution; join them. With this proposition, Illygos once again was tangled within the webs of another group of warriors. However, this time things felt a bit different. The way of these raiders resonated with Illygos in a sense, they made no friends nor enemies, they carved their own path in life and did not care about any kings or politics of who owned what. In their eyes, they were strong enough to rule this entire land if they so choose, it all belonged to them. Feeling a connection to their choice in lifestyle, Illygos stayed within their group for many weeks. They trained him further and taught him many valuable combat secrets, and in return Illygos helped them thrive among the desert’s harsh conditions with his years of personal experience and knowledge. '

There came a day where Illygos was a high profile warrior among these bandits, second in command to the current leader. The leader and himself were the closest Illygos had ever been to someone before, they ruled side by side and kept the rest of the men alive. Together, they all formed very familial bonds, and treated one another like brothers. As time progressed, the leader began to show signs of age and weakening. Years of this hard life had taken a toll on his body and soul, and he often would be shown up by Illygos in the heat of battle. As such, the time came for Illygos and the leader to face off in a battle to the death, as is the custom for appointing a new leader of the band. Although a tough fight, Illygos left the battle with minor abrasions, and a new title as the ruling bandit leader.

As new top dog, Illygos led the men towards an increase in infamy. They fought with more precise skills and a renewed vigor, cutting down towns and villages that threatened to get in their way. Soon, Illygos the King Slayer’s title was murmured throughout pubs and homes across the continent as a new enemy ruling the desert. They were the best of the best when it came to bandit groups, no one had Illygos’s combined survival and combat knowledge like they did. Terror and agony followed them as they made their way across the land, claiming supplies and towns as their own and eventually moving on to repeat the cycle.

Months later, on a morbidly hot day, another important proposition was given to Illygos, wrapped in a scarlet red letter and stamped closed with a ruby red snake emblem.

Illygos knew the emblem; a rising emperor by the name of Kismetdel was the talk of the realm these days. A ruthless tyrant who held no mercy for no man, woman, or child. People had nicknamed him ‘The Scarlet Serpent’ for his sly, snake-like ways and bright red hair. Upon opening and reading the letter, said man was requestioning Illygos’s presence at his castle, along with the company of his men. According to the invitation, Kismetdel was interested in appointing Illygos and his men as his personal army. Although Illygos and his band chuckled at this, they couldn't help but be curious at the riches that were promised upon their arrival.

Although Illygos knew this could very well be a trap, the last he heard, Kismetdel did not currently have an army of his own. As such, there was a high probability that what Kit was saying in his letter was true. So, Illygos and his band spent the next few weeks making a careful trip across the desert wastelands to where he knew Kit’s oasis palace lied.

Upon arrival, Illygos was greeted with terrified stares of the kingdom’s people. He wasn’t surprised at this sort of greeting, ever since he had became the ‘King Slayer’ and taken over the band of ruffians, his name leaked into small talk and gossiping across the continent. He and his men were a forced to be reckoned with, and these people were well aware of it.

When arriving to the castle, Illygos and his men found that Kit himself was much shorter and much less scary looking than they had anticipated. Scarlet curls dragged all the way down to the floor, the same color his nickname suggested, and he was draped in gold silks and jewelry across every inch of his skin. For an emperor, Kit sure looked the part, Illygos doubted if the man had ever stepped outside a day in his life. Skin unblemished or scarred, he was a lightly tanned porcelain doll compared to the usual rough and tumble looking men Illygos was used to.

Another thing Illygos soon realized is that Kit is a man of much excitement. From the moment Illygos was let into the castle, the bouncy red gremlin greeted him with a sly smile as big as the sun and was quick to start explaining the details of why Illygos had been summoned. Kit’s offer was one that would be hard to say no to; he promised Illygos and his men wealth and infamy, in return for protection against his many foes during his plan to conquer the continent. While Illygos would normally deny these offers, Kit also promised them a relaxed schedule - Illygos was free to explore and take his time should Kit ever need him to ‘pay a visit’ to an enemy of his. The added bonus of this adventurous freedom would be the leading cause to Illygos accepting his offer, along with the consideration that his men and himself could use a place to settle down, get healthy, and make base in.

With the bow of his head, Illygos accepted Kit’s offer, and officially became known as Illygos the Scorpion, King Slayer and Leader of the Scarlet Serpent’s Army.

        The Present Day:

As years progressed, Kismetdel had a rapid incline in infamy and power thanks to Illygos and his men’s help. Any enemy Kit had, Illygos crushed. People feared even so much as to speak badly about Emperor Kismetdel, it was even rumored that should you speak poorly about his tyrannical ruling methods, you and your family or town would be cursed with The Madder Curse, and the scorpion’s sting would come to haunt you. This sting, of course, being Illygos and his men’s unstoppable force. They set fire and cut down anyone and everyone Kit wanted to be cut or burned down.

Illygos was also indulging in the palace’s luxuries. He had made a nice room for himself, decorated in the things he collected on his travels. Although he’d never admit it, it was nice to be able to call a place home again, somewhere to hang his armor and swords after a long day and somewhere to keep all his bestiary information stored away safely.

Living with Kit was another thing within itself, Kit was handsy and always very excitable. He was emotionally manipulative to not only the weak, but everyone, and would get playfully frustrated when trying to control Illygos. The stone-faced man was exhausted the first couple of years having to put up with Kit’s antics, the little goblin acted more like a snotty, bratty child rather than the ruler of half of the continent. However, life continued to get busier when Destard and Aden were also appointed to the growing castle staff, and Embry was added as Illygos's right hand man.

Destard was first, found by Kismetdel by who knows what means, and summoned to the castle to speak with Kit. Although Illygos suspected Kit mainly liked Destard’s muscles and buff frame, Destard had admirably impressive magic abilities. While Illygos had never been into magic himself, Destard was obviously a master at what he did, and Kit was quick to welcome him to the private workings of the palace as the permanent head mage.

While Illygos would often be rubbed off by Destard’s blunt and violent responses to some of Illygos’s Kit-prompted visits, nothing could prepare him for Aden’s arrival. Hired as the kingdom’s new herbalist and poison brewer,Aden was like a Kit version two, just as excitable, loud, and noisy, only significantly more snarky. Aden would throw a teasing jab, and Kit would laugh to encourage him. Together the two were irritatingly in sync at all times, by each other’s side at any given moment. They both had too much fun poking fun at Illygos, whether it be about his ‘drab’ appearance or cold expression. Needless to say, Aden and Kit together are two peas in a pod that thoroughly enjoy giving Illygos a headache every morning.

As Destard is more isolated from the rest of them, Aden, Kit, and Illygos became the infamous trinity of the Scarlet Empire. Foes had little to no chance should they get in Kit’s path, whether it be by discreet poisoning thanks to Aden’s handiwork, or Illygos’s brash and forceful burning of the enemy. The four of them cover all the bases; The Leader, The Mage, The Sneak, and The Tank.

Last came Embry, a young man that had been part of a nomadic, flora centered tribe that traveled the deserts. Illygos had been sent to track them down when Kit came down with a terrible flu, as this tribe was rumored to have extensive knowledge on how to cure illnesses. When the tribe leader refused to help Illygos, The Scorpion had no other choice than to eliminate the tribe and locatethe cure itself, which had been recorded on scribes kept in the leader's belongings. Before making their exit, Illygos's man had noticed that they missed one. A young, thin man who's name Illygos quickly learned was Embry. Instead of destroying Embry and sending him to the beyond like the rest of his tribe, Illygos kept him as his personal servant. He knew Embry likely knew things that Illygos could not get off of the scrolls, there were bound to be secrets that Embry was keeping. '

Embry did not speak much of their language, which was the common tongue, and this made it very difficult for Illygos to communicate with him at times. However, Embry was smart, and would often be able to use common sense to figure out what Illygos was saying. Besides himself, Embry is the only one allowed to touch or carry Illygos's personal bestiary, and records information for Illygos when his hands are full. Originally belonging to his mother, the large and weighted book is a priceless treasure, containing drawings and information of the beasts and plants of the land. Being that Embry's tribe was flora aligned, there were many things he knew that Illygos did not. Learning these things has been a pleasant experience for Illygos, Embry is a very quiet nature and calming to talk to, in contrast to Aden or Kit. Because of Illygos's preference to talk to Embry, he is often the one Illygos talks to whenever it comes to information he knows or wishes to know about plants. Travels across the desert have become just a little more entertaining with Embry there to communicate with and pass the time.

As Kit grows stronger and the Empire grows, who knows what riches and adventures lie ahead of Illygos, Aden, Embry, and Destard, on their journey to help Kit take over the continent and beyond.

Illygos's relationship with Kismetdel is a difficult one, at the very best.
More of an aquaintanceship, Kit is Illygos's boss, but not by much.
Although Kit is the emperor, he would be essentially helpless
without the protection of Illygos and his men. Illygos is not fond of
Kit's personality, as he's very neutral aligned. However, he is not
so adverse to it, in contrast to many others. Power is power,
however you may choose to obtain it. In short, Illygos' only sticks by
Kit due to the wealth and good living his men receive as reward.
Although a bunch of ruffian criminals, Illy has formed intimate bonds
with many of his men, just like brothers or family members.
He only stays because of them, having a place to call home eases
the mind. However, one wrong move by Kit, and Illy will gladly
return to the desert's lonely dunes, and leave Kit helpless at the
mercy of the thousands of people he's done wrong.

Image

Image
Aden is one of Kit's holy trinity, which is comprised of himself,
Illygos, and Aden. He is in charge of the poison making and herbalist
studies, and knows just about everything there is to know about plants.
He's flamboyant and cocky, waltzes around in skimpy clothing with
his head held high and covered in tons of rose gold jewelry and silk.
Aden is Kit's favorite by far, both their personalities fit like
two perfect puzzle pieces. For Illygos, this cocky mindset coming from
someone who is not his boss is quite infuriating. Kit closely
guards Aden, and thus Illy can never smart off to him like he truly
wishes he could. Aden is the main cause of all of Illygos's headaches,
and drives the man internally mad any time he must accompany Illy
on trips to collect herbs. Even so, Aden and Kit are the two people that
Illygos would protect with his life. Although he would not consider them
'friends' per say, they are closer to his heart than most other people.
Little does Illygos know just how close fate will bring Aden and himself
together.

Image
Embry is Illygos's servant and secretary of sorts, he accompanies Illy
on his travels to document information about flora and fauna when
Illygos's hands are too full. Embry does not speak much of their
language, due to his past history. However, Illygos finds ways to
make it work. In summary, Embry was part of a nomadic desert tribe
very in tune with the flora of the land. They were keeping valuable
information from Illygos that he sought to have, and thus he
eliminated the tribe. Embry was among the very few survivors, whom
he kept to be the documentor of Illygos's beastiary. Embry is
very knowledgable about many things the land has to offer, and Illy
enjoys Embry's quiet nature. He is the easiest and most enjoyable
person for Illygos to talk to, as he is not brash or loud in any way.
Often, the two of them can have quiet, lengthy, private conversations
about plants that reside in the desert's lair.

Image

Image
Destard is Kit's right hand man when it comes to spells, whether it
be offensive or defensive. Living in a cave for most of his life, Des
has very poor social skills and has quite the nasty temper on him.
Despite not being in each other's company very often, Destard and
Illygos have a quiet strenuous relationship riddled with tension.
Destard's poor social cues and tendency to react with violence or
anger often clash with Illygos's defensive and generally neutral
self. Illygos only sees Destard when he has to, which is usually if
Kit has something he needs Illygos to run to Des. Even when in
each other's company for brief periods of time, Illygos and Destard
have an energy akin to a bomb about to explode, with tension as
thick as tar when they begin to bump heads or disagree on something.

Physical Characteristics: Six legs, horse-like appearance. Multiple eyes in which have an intimidating stare, and emit a soft glowing trail at night, presumably to attract smaller, curious creatures. Very tall and stocky, impressive muscle tone throughout the entire body. Shoulders, elbow joints, and snout are lined with sharp horns, perhaps protecting the animal's weak points. Crest on the underside of the jaw seems to be a cosmetic display for dominance, or could be used as a weapon of defense if using to strike in a downwards motion with. a compactly built runner.

Excellent hearing and an extremely powerful kick. Stay away from the back legs at all times, unless you have a very close bond with the animal. Illygos's beast: Aden informed Illygos while out on a trip on how to attract and tame the beast, and given Illy's natural charm to fauna, it worked incredibly smoothly. The Beast is now Illygos's primary steed, being that he is much faster and stronger than any kingdom horse. If a hasty escape is needed for safety, Aden will accompany him on the beast and the two of them can make a very swift exit. It's loyalty to Illygos and Aden has made the creature very special in both of their eyes, especially Illygos's. It is the only beast that Illygos will trust with his and Aden's safety without a doubt.

The Realm of Iijra

Image

Image

the gif will run smoothly after a minute or two! just let it load ( :

Image

        Name: Iijra (ee-zsh-r-uh)

Climate: The continent of Iijra is an extremely tough land in many ways. It only rains here approximately five times a year, mostly at the start of spring and autumn seasons. Days are very long and are lead by a brutally shining sun, and nights can quickly be a death sentence if you are not prepared for the on coming colder temperatures. Sandstorms are common here, especially during the summer months, which are twice as long as any other season. Daytime temperatures can reach from 95 F to 120 F degrees on the hottest days, and must be approached with caution. Night temperatures can range from approximately 40 F all the way down to 8 F on the coldest winter nights. While it does not snow here, ice is common at night in the winter months, and can very quickly destroy a town's entire farming core if they are not well prepared.

Farming: With only three general areas where any vegetation naturally grows, making a healthy life anywhere else is near impossible. The climate is very arid and dry, and any farming must be done with the use of some sort of well or aqueduct system. The soil is coarse and lacks most minerals or nutrients. There are also many impish creatures that crawl across the desert's sand dunes at night that see a plot of farmland as a welcomed and refreshing meal. Grains are the most commonly grown crop, while fruits or moist vegetables have to be imported from a more northern side of the continent.

        Landforms & Their Names:

        - Oceans: There are five oceans that touch Iijra's borders; The Aella Ocean, The Abbyiel Ocean, The Amber Ocean, The Kiakliathe Ocean, and the Somber Ocean. The first, the Aella, is the second warmest and one of the clearest oceans. It is the most commonly sailed on ocean, as storms and dangerous marine life are uncommon. The second ocean, the Abbyiel, is also known as 'the Holy Ocean'. Abbyiel is the clearest of all the oceans, and for many miles the water is crystal clear. It is the most comfortable temperature, and is home to many different and unique forms of life. Usually, dangerous marine creatures are not common closer to the edges of Iijra, but are known to live on the outskirts. The next ocean is the most northern, and is known as the Somber Ocean. These waters are very cold, and some of the toughest water dwelling creatures make their homes here. In comparison to the Somber, the warmest ocean is known as the Kiakliathe Ocean, or, more commonly, the Kiak Ocean. The waters are reasonably clear, but are home to the most colorful and unique lifeforms compared to any of the other oceans. Lastly is the Amber Ocean, the second coldest and most dangerous ocean. Due to the volatile lands it surrounds, the Amber Ocean is home to many terrifying and man eating creatures. This ocean is never sailed upon by any man, and keeps the Raegarth Isles's mutants far away from Iijra.

        - Islands & Isles: Surrounding Iijra are many different smaller islands, accompanied by the demon infested Raegarth Isles to the northwest. Of these islands are Vaskir Key, twin islands to the East that hold dear religious importance to the tribes that live there, Shivier's Crown, a collection of islands named after the Goddess of power and fortune, Shivier, Pelu Island and it's smaller sister Pelu Minor, two islands that are used as an ancient burial ground and religious grounds for the Ascon Empire. The largest and more important off-land mass Raegarth Isles. Containing three volcanoes, the Twins of Bael and Caelan, this land is home to large and indescribable mutants and demons that ravish the land day by day. This is a no man's land, any attempt to cross the sea to get here will surely result in death.

        - Coasts: Lining Iijra's borders are many coasts, most of which are generally very rocky or filled with coarse and brittle sand. Among these coasts are the Hyacinyth Coast and Northern Rim to the north, both decorated with harsh rocky shores. To the south is the Southern Cape, a large very sandy shore that makes the easiest transition into the Aella Ocean compared to any other coast. Shared by the Luffikpier and Ascon Empires is the Abernest Coast, a smooth beach of low dune's whos sand gets the hottest of any other. Finally, is the Shank Coast, a dangerously rock cliff side coast that is sure to keep you away from even considering crossing the Sea of Souls.

        - Mesas, Plateaus, and Highlands: Alongside Iijra's many sandy lowlands, there are higher elevation areas that are even harder to travel through. On Iijra is two rocky mesa biomes, to the south is Malo's Area, home to Dalviin's Rise, the second highest land mass on Iijra (only shadowed by Altine Summit in the north), which is named after the dwarven king, Dalviin Ir the Second, one of the first five great kings that settled on Iijra. To the north is Basnoia Expanse, which borders the Saturnius Plains and Elis Vale, and spills into the La Bora Plateaus. Of it's giant stone formations, the most notable is the Arch of Reedcor, named after Etheniel the Goddess's fabled giant bird companion.

        - Plains, Lakes, and the Oasis: The only three plains locations on Iijra that are known to naturally produce plant life are called The Whitebrush Plains, filled with many tall and long natural rough grasses, the Plains of Yiroth, which is home to the kingdom of Ascon, and the Saturnius Plains, the most lifeless compared to the other three plains. By the Whitebrush Plains is the two lakes on IIjra, the larger Lake of Youth and it's sister lake the Lake of Te'Jir, named after a great tribal warrior that helped shape the formation of the Territory of Luffikpier's beginning many years ago.

        - Deserts: Although the entirety of Iijra is a desert, the main three deserts are the Elis Vale to the north, the Blackborn Desert to the south, and the Jaorn Desert to the west. There is also a lesser desert that seperates the Ascon Empire and the Territory of Luffikpier, called the Hellheir's Desert. Of the four, the Jaorn desert is the harshest, given its dry location in the very center of Iijra.
Size wise, Elis Vale and the Blackborn Desert are very close, although Elis Vale barely takes the winning title. The Blackborn Desert is the most coarse desert and the second most difficult to cross, given that there are many pools of quicksand that will swallow unwise or unsuspecting life. Elis Vale is next, a large area of deep fine sand that is easy to cross given that you have the correct mount. Lastly is the small desert of Hellheir, the easiest to cross given its size and its shallow sand dunes.

        - Volcanoes: Other than the three volcanoes found on the Raegarth Isles, there is one volcano found on the mainland of Iijra, named Hell Peak. It is the tallest volcano and second largest out of all four, and is surrounded by harsh rocky lands infested with various lesser demons, which are rumored to have been there from long ago, when the Rhaegarth Isles were connected by land to Iijra. While you cannot explore this volcano up close due to the harmful creatures that make their cavernous homes into the volcano itself and the surrounding mountains, it can in fact be seen from many miles around and watched from a safe distance.

In the cracks and crevices of Iijra hide many more secrets, whether they be clans of giant raptor birds that rule the sky, or rough scaled dragons covered with naturally growing gemstones on the crown of their heads, those secrets are hidden among an impossibly barren and rough landscape, and it may never truly be known what the history of Iijra and all it's creatures may be.

link to kalon you're trying out for: Corbin
kalon's name: Corbin
kalon's gender: Male

Personality: Corbin is a stubborn but soft Kalon, though he doesn't show that most of the time. Most of the time, he will be seen as defensive and short-tempered if you make the wrong move. Which is partly true, unless it is someone close like family or friends.

The Desert Rose ~

-- -- Image --
Your walking in the middle of the desert, exhausted without food or water. As you feel yourself stumbling foreword, collapsing from the heat you see something glittering in the sunlight ahead of you. Am I seeing things? Is this a mirage? You think to yourself. But no. As you approach you see what looks like dream catchers dangling from the side of a tent, built up into a cave at the bottom of the desert mountain. The glass beads reflect the sun's light, and you cover your eyes with your hand. Rustling sounds from inside the tent. A head pokes out from between the entrance flaps. "You want something or are you lost?" "Lost," You all but whisper. The creature tisks and shakes its head side to side "Come in then. Let me get you something to drink"

To be perfectly honest, not much is known about Rose herself or her past. Perhaps she keeps such stories to herself, or perhaps she doesn't trust the world enough to share. Whatever the truth, Rose is surrounded with an aura of mystery and legend. Many call her the "Desert Rose" believing she's the saint of those who's hearts send them to wander the world. Others believe her to be a spirit, who appears to those in their times of need. Those who know her, however, know that she is flesh and blood, with a heart as free as the wind and as wild as fire. Stories of grandeur spread quickly among the community of wanderlusts. Perhaps that is why Rose herself quickly became more of a legend then the actual person she is. Rose herself is just an adventures and free-spirited girl who's tales and deeds in travel have made her less of a person and more of a story. She knows about these tails but doesn't bother correcting or stopping them as there's no point anymore.
A Guide on The Legends of "The Desert Rose" and how to safely travel
The Saint of Wanderers - She's a goddess of adventure; you should probably burn some white sage to please her before heading off on a journey; if you forgot to burn to burn some sage buy a rose and leave it somewhere where you have spent the night
An Assisting Spirit of the Lost - Appearing as a mirage; usually in a tent or some sort of equipment; you might stumble upon her when you have gotten lost and are approaching exhaustion or dehydration; she will help you but then you'll probably wake up somewhere safe like a hotel but know one will believe you that a spirt saved your life
The Horse Girl - A magnificent creature in a violet or white dress; usually appears besides a horse or riding one; This is the Desert Rose in her angelic form and you shouldn't stare for long otherwise you might be blinded by her aura
