A tan aruca with fiery hair drags you into a nearby alley. "Are you a detective? I desperately need your help. Something very dear to me has gone missing!"

→ The Mystery
Time is running short. I've only got a couple of minutes before they find me, so listen closely. Here's the rundown on your mission: Someone has stolen my journal. It contains precious information that could result in chaos, should it fall into the wrong hands. I need you to find out who the culprit is and bring them to me. I noticed my journal was missing this morning; the thief should still be near here! Take this, it has all the information you will need to solve the mystery. Karmel hands you a piece of paper.
His ears twitch nervously, searching for any stray sound. Noticeable fear flickers through his eyes when he detects the sound of footsteps getting louder. Karmel frantically pushes you into the shadows of the alley, and he mouths, "Best of luck to you, detective" before two guards roughly grab him and drag him to a waiting jeep.

Since this is a time sensitive event, the mystery will take place on the last day of the event: Friday, March 23, from 4 PM to 11:59 PM PST. Extending until March 25, 12 PM PST!
You, detective, have been tasked with finding the thief and PM'ing the name to me, kh.aotic! The first clue is found in the posts below. Prizes will be distributed to those who send me the correct name, but there will be participation prizes as well. Be careful when you send your PM because you only have one guess! I will go in order of PMs received to ask you to choose a prize from the prize pool in the 4th post if you have sent me the correct answer. You may ask for hints any time throughout this event by PM'ing me, but a slower detective who used no hints will always be placed above a faster detective who used hints.

Every day of the event, some Aruca staff members will hide this image: among their posts! It is your job to search through our posts to find where these pebbles are hidden, then quickly post the link to the post below. If you are the first to reply with the link to the post containing the image, you will be able to win event currency, items, and even arucas, if you're really lucky!

• Owners and non-owners are allowed to join. Staff members may also join rounds in which they are not hiding pebbles in posts!

The First Letter
You read over the note that Karmel has handed to you. It's quite short, and it seems rushed and choppy:

Clue 1:
Salutations everyone, and read carefully: Help! Karmel has an owl. Talk in code. Find owl. Retrieve key. Ensure the criminal's handcuffed, unconscious, please!

You flip the short letter over, and you see a list of suspects hastily scribbled down on the back. There are short notes written next to each of the suspects:

Kaizoku -

Supreme overlord. Luca's owner. Possibly Luca's partner in crime.

Lloril -

Never sleeps. Enough said.

isabelle. -

Moderator/ Artist. Double agent?

kh.aotic -

My owner. My own owner wouldn't take my very top secret and private notebook away from me, right?

jellyfish.lucy -

A squiddo. Still believes Pluto is a planet; that's a crime in itself.

y i n -

Has had a history of thievery, but has now fallen into slight inactivity. Probably just laying low and hiding in the shadows though.

fawnfriend -

Dante's owner. Possible accomplice?

Newest suspect. Recently admitted to staff, true intentions unknown.

Luca -

Radiates an unpleasant aura. From first looks, he already looks shady.

Karmel -

Hey, we should never overlook a potential suspect! I-I suppose I may have l-lost it o-or misplaced it m-maybe...

Dante -

I've only met him the one time I went to that restaurant. Frankly, he was quite the gentleman. Although, I did hear another customer complaining about his bad temper as I walked out the doors.

Unknown -

I've only seen this aruca's face around a couple times recently. I don't even know their name yet, but I cannot ignore them as a potential suspect. It is because they are completely unknown to me that I suspect them, as I do not know what they are capable of.
