Catskitten takes the salve from Spook and uses it to heal Hallows' wounds. They gratefully get to their feet, feeling much better and the group continues moving through the woods. Spook takes the lead, feeling rather confident having saved their friend. They're distracted and somehow don't notice the run-down old shack until they bump into it.
The wood is rotted and the roof sags pathetically as if begging to be allowed to fall to the ground and rest. A musty smell is rampant in the air, mixing pungently with what appears to be the scent of rotting flesh. Disgusted, Spook backs away from the shack.

It takes a moment for their eyes to adjust to the darkness inside the shack. Hallows is startled to see a pair of bright green eyes, staring at them from a ragged chair in the corner. "Why... Hello. I never get... visitors..." A voice croaks from what they can now see is a wicked-looking old woman. She cracks a smile, "Snap dragons. How quaint. And so... rare...." She reaches for Hallows with her liver-spotted and bone-like hand and Hallows backs away uncomfortably.
"Now now dear, it's alright, come to Granny Laru..." Spook growls at the woman and steps in between she and Hallows. Her expression changes from pleasant to angry within a split second. "Naughty little beasts! Leave now!" She grabs a jar and throws it at the snaps. The glass shatters, striking Spook. The snap yowls and darts from the shack, leaving Hallows to collect the ghost moths that escape the jar before leaving the shack as well.

Spook: Cannot continue without a salve. A friendly ghost deer appears and guides the injured snap safely home!

Neonbay and Vulkan join me on path 3.

Neonbay, excited to see what's ahead, charges down the third path toward the sound of water. They glance back momentarily at Vulkan who grunts and waddles quietly beside Suatrone, wuffling at them quietly in hopes of being picked up.
As the group rounds the corner, they see a small, dark stream. Upon closer instruction the 'water' is deep red and almost blood-like in color. Neonbay has already waded into the water before realizing this and makes a horrified noise before plowing back out again.
Vulcan approaches the water cautiously and spots some bats on the shore, lapping at the water silently.
In the meantime, Neonbay isn't watching where they're going and slams headfirst into a tree. Several tarantulas scurry out of a hole near Neon's head.

The squirrels have been banked and cannot be accessed from the woods, are you sure you want to bank the moths?

Feeling refreshed after a delicious meal, the snaps set off again wandering along the blood stream seeking a way to cross without having to wade through. Although it is not deep, they are a bit off-put by the color and the vampire bats they found on the banks previously. Finally they come to a path of large-ish rocks that can be used to hop across the stream. Vulkan starts across but the second rock is a bit loose and they slip, barely catching themselves before falling in.
Neonbay seems hesitant to cross here, and tries to pretend the rocks don't exist, wuffling at Suatrone to keep looking for something a little more steady and chubby dragon friendly.
