an emitter type quirk, polarity allows keiko to not only attract, but also dispel any magnetic object within a 200 foot radius, granted that is weighs no more than 500 pounds and is primarily made out of metal. she can use it on multiple objects at once, but only if they are relatively small. this leads to keiko often using her quirk in subtle ways, such as her altering a weapons path or magnetizing a metal surface to be used as a platform. she also tends to casually practice with her quirk as much as possible, leading her to carry around metal spheres and trinkets. aside from this, her powers can and will get stronger when she is highly emotional.
side effects:
keiko has a form of juvenile hemochromatosis, meaning she has too much iron in her blood. this is believed to be connected to her quirk and keiko has been forced to deal with it from a young age. unfortunately that means she cannot overexert herself for fear of heart problems and that she has to keep her blood sugar in check because of diabetes. this is something that affects her all the time, even when her quirk is dormant. that being said, she does her side effects from overusing her quirk with the most commons ones being fatigue, migraines, and nose bleeds.

keiko is an incredibly serious person. she does not interact well with others and instead awkwardly keeps to herself. emotions are difficult things that she doesn’t always understand, especially when it comes to attraction and romance. this makes it hard for her to connect. however, this lack of human socialization has led to her often becoming very blunt and occasionally unpleasant to be around. it also makes her an poor teammate and/or rescue hero, although she is great at getting the job done. keiko is intelligent, with an extreme amount of dedication that has no room for procrastination. she studies hard and does not understand the appeal behind parties and games. she is constantly seeking to improve herself and is highly competitive, but because she is not used to interacting with others, she does not think of them often. this means that many consider her fundamentalally selfish, despite the way she finds everyone’s life important. her morals are strict and she obeys all the rules so despite her lack of people skills, she hopes to one day become a spectacular hero.

izumi’s quirk isn’t necessarily one suited for combat, but it can be highly useful. recharge allows her to restore the energy of anyone she touches, granted that they still have energy to restore. how much energy she recharges depends on how long she maintains contact and how much energy izumi has to give. it will not heal any physical damage, but it can help curb exhaustion and even quirk overuse. however that doesn’t mean izumi can’t overuse it as well.
side effects:
by using her quirk. izumi is giving away energy of her own. this means that she will become incredible this tired, to the point that she may have trouble standing. in fact, if she gives away too much energy she may possibly pass out, a mistake that she has thankfully only made a few times. using recharge also leaves izumi hungry, so it’s importn that she eats before taking a nap. her quirk exhaustion is a physical thing that may also result in headaches.

many students come to view izumi as a sibling or parental figure. she has a soothing presence and dislikes yelling at people. she’s a kind and excellent listener, and tries to avoid judging people as much as possible. she’s also very trustworthy, only revealing dangerous secrets and refraining from gossiping about the rest. if you are having trouble, she will always try to help you to the point that it actually seems naive. izumi is soft-hearted to the extreme with a weak spot for children and animals that can quite easily be exploited. and she knows this, and she’s tried to toughen up, but in the end, she always winds up soft. perhaps it’s a good thing that she rarely winds up on the front lines, although in that case many compare her to a momma bear. she may be gentle with her cubs, but she is fiercely protective and will fight anyone that hurts them. so as soft and gentle as she may be, letting the students get away with breaking small innocent rules, you can guarantee that izumi will always end up enforcing the law. especially if she already gave you a second chance.

quirk overview;; rina's quirk gives her the ability to
transform her spirit into an animal. when her
spirit is transformed, it can take on any colour
(except for transparent) or shape, rina wills it
to be. it can also turn corporeal or non-corporeal,
which can be effective in city areas. the spirit
is attached to rina's body and since it is the spirit,
rina feels and sees as the spirit.

specifics;; for her spirit to take on the form of an
animal, rina has to know its appearence, call, diet
and various other details. so far, she can turn her
spirit into a fox, cat and bird. during her spirit
transformations, her physical body cannot move and if
it is attacked, her spirit will return back to normal. if
she recieves any injuries while in her corporeal, they
will be transferred over to her physical body.

drawbacks overview;; - the spirit is visibly attached
to the physical body and can be easily traced to the
human body and harmed, especially since the physical
body is unable to move
- it takes quite a bit of energy and concentration to
have the spirit be larger than what the animal would
normally be
- rina's spirit can't directly change from animal to
animal and has to change back to human in order to
change into another animal
- if overused (long length of time or spirit's size larger
than limits), rina would be very dizzy and/or unable to
stand up. if gone completely over limits, rina might
become unconscious for an unknown period of time
