To be fair, I don't know much about American history. Probably because I'm not American.
Anyway, I recently learned that a form of protest during the Vietnam war was actually people walking up to soldiers and police with guns and putting flowers in the barrels of their guns. And, yeah, that sounds super dangerous, but it's a surprisingly peaceful form of protest. Which was kind of the point but...
Anyway, this is interesting to me because first of all, when you think of protests, that's not really what usually comes to mind. And secondly, there's a message there- that instead of standing on opposing sides and working against each other, the two sides can grow together in peace and become something beautiful.
Idk, maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I read about it the other day and I thought it was cool and wanted to talk,about it somewhere.
