after a dry season that tested the pack, right at the peak of summer, came the flames.
after the drought dried the vegetation, the forest was very susceptible to fires. all it
would take is one strike of lightning to set the whole thing ablaze. with dry grass, land
and winds it took no time for the flames to spread, and with no rain seen in months it
seems unstoppable. nearly the whole forest was a fiery inferno in less than a day.
human intervention has tried with moderate success, but the rate of spreading has
made the fire hard to contain. after days the pack still continues to flee the slowly
spreading fire as the flames keep licking the trees and burning away all they knew.
the alpha male was the first to get lost in the fire, and the pack is now only led by the
alpha female. the pack currently finds itself surrounded by fires in many directions with
ash and smoke hanging heavy in the air, it could be days or weeks before the flames reach
them if they have not been doused by then. the alpha female still seems determined to
lead her pack away from the burning forest, deciding to not depend on man to put it out.
