and monsoon-esque storms. but amidst the chaos, a new life was taking its first breaths; make that two
breaths, actually. but all was not right in the world, unlike some would like to believe. spyros, the packs
alpha, had made a deal with the amethyst pack. one that simply could not be ignored. you see, the ame
thyst pack was far stronger than the opalline, and many a time war had been threatened. but the ameth
yst' alpha was growing extremely impatient, for he saw that the opalline wolves were growing in numbers,
and soon they would be able to overpower and take the amethysts land. so elias (the amethyst alpha) he
ld a secret meeting with spyros and they made a deal. spyros was to give elias his first born son and in ex
change elias wouldn't wage war against the neighboring pack. it was an offer spyros simply couldn't refus
e. the opalline pack was still too small to defend themselves, and spyros was too noble to let his pack die.
but once the twins were born the alpha felt a weight lifted from his shoulders and then dropped on his ch
est. he had two sons, but now he didn't want to give either of them up. and his mate, esfir, would never
agree to give up either of her pups. so, in the dead of night spyros took his smaller son and took him to th
e border, where elias was waiting. in the morning he told his kind mate that the smaller pup had perished
during the night, and instead of burdening esfir with the news he simply buried the poor soul somewhere
near the border. it has been three years since the incident and tensions are rising again between the two
packs, both elias and spyros have died and the twins have taken over rulership of their respective packs.
both threaten war. but what of their unknown relation? will it be revealed? or will it go on buried?
