growing up in macon, georgia on frog gigging in the cr

minutes from the beach in isle of hope, georgia; shan
e isn't your typical southern boy but he's got enough i

he was an all-star football player with straight a's and
dating the cheerleaders until he met his future wife-
an outspoken, smart christian girl who thought his ch
eesest jokes were hilarious. they dated from junior ye
ar throughout the summers, his downhilling grades an
d rough homelife. throughout graduation, enlisting in
to the united states marines and four years later, they
married. shane and amelia walker had two kids togeth
er- joshua and matilda -and one due in january of '14.

shane takes the leadership role seriously and does his
best to make sure what he decides is the right way. h
owever, he is not the leader of the group- addison par
ker is. wanna shoot a gun, protect the group from any
threat? shane's your boss and it'd be wise to listen to h
im because he knows what he's talking about and won'
t hesitate to set you on your ass. shane's became a val
uable asset to the group and it's people from providin
g his skillsets toward their survival.

e's had, but he's on the mending path. finally adjusting
to how the way things are and moving on, finding new
love and creating a new life. shane's still very defensi
ve over his wife and kids but no longer holds onto the

● luna was born five minutes behind her fraternal twin sister, sorina, in romania and lived there for two years before their family moved to england. she had a pretty uneventful youth, the only major thing that happened to her had been a nasty fall from her horse during a competition. she had been an equestrian for most of her youth, but took a break from it all after the fall that landed her in the hospital intensive care. her competition mount, phoenix, had miss-stepped before a jump and landed wrong. the fourteen-hundred pound dutch warmblood stumbled and went down, crushing luna's right leg and breaking her arm along with several ribs. it was a freak accident and she doesn't blame the gelding, but she did develop a fear of riding after leaving the hospital. her twin, sora, was the main person who helped her learn to walk again since her right leg had to have intensive surgery and physical therapy. luna's parents decided to start fresh with a move to america when she was eighteen, giving her a chance to overcome her past trauma.

they settled in new york first, thinking the city life would be a welcome change, but it was far too much for all of them so they found a quieter place to live down in texas. the state had plenty of horses and equestrian opportunities so it was perfect for almost everyone since her mother was actually a horse trainer and riding instructor, she had been luna's coach during her competitive years. sora wasn't very thrilled with the move, but seemed to put up with it. it took luna almost two years to regain the courage to get onto a horse and once she did, it didn't take her long to get back into her old rhythm. she still couldn't bring herself to jump, but didn't need to since most horse sports in texas were about rodeo and roping. in the three years before the apocalypse started, luna was able to learn how to ride western style, rope an animal from horseback at a gallop, tie down a calf in less than thirty seconds, and wrangle a wayward cow into submission like a true cowgirl. living on the ranch opened up a whole new world to her and she embraced it full on. the skills she learned ended up being priceless when the dead started to rise. she and sora found some fellow survivors early on and has since been with them at their ranch while sora decided to go off on her own. since she's got a well trained horse, luna is often tasked with going out for supply runs that can lead to her being away from the farm for days on end, but she almost always comes back with good loot. it's a dangerous job, but a necessary one so she takes it very seriously. she's also very good with animals so she's often the one dealing with the livestock.

● sora was born five minutes ahead of her twin sister, altalune, in romania, but their parents moved them to england a few years later. while her sister became an equestrian like their mother, sora became a rather troublesome child. she got into plenty of scrapes in her youth, always ready to throw fists at the first sign of a tension. for most of her childhood, sora was envious of luna's skill with horses and how much their mother favored her for it, but she still loved her twin no matter what. in their school years, sora was luna's protector since the younger twin was soft spoken and a target for bullies. most of the scrapes she got into were with bullies trying to tease or pick on luna. when luna got injured, sora was there to help her learn to walk again. their family moved to america in the hopes of starting fresh in a new place.

after settling in texas, sora drifted from her family and got her own place to live alone. she worked hard to support herself and still send money back to her family each month. her tough nature got her into trouble a few times, but ended up doing her good after she was able to square off with a known gang leader and survive. the leader saw potential in sora and tried many times to recruit her into their gang, but she always refused since it would put luna in danger with the gang's rivals. when the apocalypse started, sora immediately went to save her family, but was too late for her parents. she ran with luna and found the whittemore farm a few months later, but didn't want to stick around like luna did so she left luna at the farm and went off on her own for a while. sora returned a year later after injuring herself, but left once she was healed. she's currently on her own, but is still allied with the whittemore farm and returns once or twice a month to check in on luna.

xxxpersonalities;

● luna is a very sweet, light-hearted person who is more likely to forgive than hold grudges which ends up biting her in the butt later on. she isn't skilled at using guns and doesn't actually like them so she uses a katana sword instead along with some smaller daggers. even though she chooses to leave for days on end for supply runs, luna doesn't like being alone and prefers to be around the others on the farm. when she cares for someone, she cares with her whole self so it's quite easy to break her heart. luna loves her twin, sora, the most and always will even though sora is off on her own.

● sora is the opposite of her sweetheart twin with her salty nature and constant sass. she tends to lash out at those around her if angry or upset which makes it hard for her to really make friends since she has quite the temper. sora takes no crap from anyone and will automatically get aggressive if threatened or if luna is put in danger. she is a very protective sister and won't hesitate to shoot someone should they hurt or even threaten to hurt luna. though she's off on her own at the moment, sora does return to the whittemore farm once or twice a month to check in on her sister.

xxxappearances;

● luna has the physique of a dancer with a slim torso and long, strong legs. her skin is smooth and a creamy tan, but has scars on her right leg from several surgeries to fix it after it was shattered during a devastating fall during a equestrian jumping competition. there are some small surgical scars on her right side as well as her back from the same jumping accident when her ribs broke and punctured her lung. luna keeps her naturally wavy, deep chocolate brown hair long since it's warm in the winter and easy to braid back in the summer. her eyes are a dark blue that appears brown from a distance. she stands at roughly 5'10 and weighs only about 140 pounds which hasn't gotten better with the apocalypse.

● sora is the stronger of the two and has more muscle than luna from years of going to the gym as well as working hard labor. she has multiple scars all over her body from random injuries as well as injuries sustained from all of the fights she's gotten into over the years. she's also tanner than her sister from all the time she's spent outside, but is still pretty fair skinned. her hair is both shorter and darker than luna's, appearing black in low lights and only shows brown hints in brighter lighting. sora never liked having long hair and has always had it short around her shoulders so it's just long enough for a messy ponytail. she has rather vibrant blue eyes that seem to glow in bright light. sora is the taller twin standing at 5'11 and weighs roughly 155 pounds which is mostly muscle.

xxxpets;

● nox is an 8-year-old holsteiner/friesian cross gelding horse who has been with luna since before the start of the apocalypse. she had bought the equine when he was just a yearling, his owner having not wanted him since he had been an accidental and unwanted pregnancy. he was a literal diamond in the ruff that only took a few months of training and affection to polish him up and make him shine. his personality is the best with a soft demeanor and playful attitude, never nipping or showing signs of aggression towards anyone. he's a gentle giant standing at 17 hands tall, roughly five and a half feet tall at the shoulder. his coat is pure inky black without a speck of white which is great when stealth is necessary.

panda is an adult female stray dog that luna had found only a few weeks ago that appears to be an akita/husky mix of some kind. she's a sweet dog which is what allowed luna to develop a quick bond with her. luna had found her roaming around when she was out on a supply run and gave her some scraps which led to the canine following her around the city as well as back to the farm. panda's only been around for a few weeks so she doesn't know much about tracking or alerting, but she is naturally very protective of the farm, especially luna, and will get defensive if strangers approach. luckily, she's learned not to bark so she doesn't draw in zombies. she stands at about 2 feet at the shoulder and weighs around 100 pounds, but appears to be underweight so her true weight is probably around 115 pounds. her fur is mostly white with darker patches of blacks and greys, hence the name 'panda'.

● joe is a 6-year-old mixed breed stallion of some kind, his previous owner claiming him to be a mustang cross which luna doubts. sora has had the stallion for three years after his owner couldn't handle him anymore and thought he'd be a liability. from what luna has told her, joe is most likely a thoroughbred crossed with some kind of warm-blood like a dutch warmblood or even is just a warmblood with a feisty attitude. it took sora quite a while to really bond with the stallion, but once they did it was smooth sailing for the both of them. joe is a very temperamental stallion who likes to do things his own way, but does listen to sora when they are out in unfamiliar territory since she has saved the both of them several times and has learned to trust her. though it's not really needed, joe is a very good jumper and will also cross water up to his chest without throwing a tantrum like he use to. he stands at 16.2 hands and is a light bay in color with two tall socks on his hind legs and a shorter one on his front right.

• personality •
there aren't many positive traits in ana's personality, they were wiped at a young age and replace
d with more useful characteristics such as cunning and ambition. she is a master manipulator, abl
e to get into someone's head with only a few words and a well timed smile. remorse was the first
to go during training so she feels nothing when on missions and was able to eliminate targets wit
h confidence and precision. since the apocalypse, she has grown a little more... human, for a lac
k of a better word, but still lacks more positive characteristics such as kindness and compassion,
at least towards strangers, she's quite affectionate towards her animal companions. without oth
er people around to draw out her softer side, her heart will remain guarded and cold.

ana couldn't care less for her fellow survivors, if they are too weak to defend themselves or too i
ncompetent to feed themselves then that's on them. it's survival of the fittest in the world now, e
ither you kill or you die. she has no qualms about shooting a survivor should they get in her way, s
he's done it multiple times already and shows no sign of stopping any time soon. ana tends to sho
ot first then ask questions, though she's a perfect shot so her questions aren't ever answered. she'
s been alone the whole five years of the apocalypse and isn't too keen on changing it.

• pet info •
sol is an intact 6-year-old male purebred harlequin beauceron who is a very obedient and loyal co
mpanion who is used mainly for hunting and flushing out the prey for ana to shoot. he's quite ene
rgetic, but knows when to be calm and quiet. he's very protective of ana and is very intelligent w
hen it comes to hunting and tracking prey or people. he stands at roughly 27 inches at the should
er and weighs around 100 lbs at his healthy weight, but since food is rather challenging to come
by, he's usually around 95 lbs. his coat is short and smooth with a nice warm undercoat, the colo
ring is harlequin with rust markings around his face and legs.

atlas is a 8-year-old purebred thoroughbred stallion standing at 16.3 hands, which is roughly 5'7" t
all at the withers. he is mahogany bay in color with three white socks, both back legs and his fron
t right leg, and a blaze running down from between his eyes all the way down to his lips. his physi
que is characteristic for a thoroughbred with a deep chest, high withers, lean body, and long legs.
he was built to run. atlas was going to be gelded before the apocalypse since his owners believing
he wasn't a worthy breeding stock due to his lack of speed, but everything went to hell before the
vet could come out. he acts like a gelding even though he's a stallion with a very calm demeanor.
even though he's not as fast as his fellow racers, atlas has much more stamina which is great for a
na since they are out scouting and hunting a lot. speed wasn't useful these days, endurance and st
amina were the key.

vega is a 16-year-old female hyacinth macaw that has been with ana for almost ten years and is the only thing ana truly cares for. she cares for h
er other pets, but should they die, ana could easily find replacements. vega can't be replaced in her mind. the avian is very smart and knows com
mands in several languages as well as hundreds of hand motions. she is used as a scout for whenever ana must leave the house such as for supply
runs and when she goes hunting. vega gets along well with orion, the golden eagle, though prefers her own space.

orion is an adult male golden eagle that ana had captured and trained only three years ago after finding the bird near the farm. he was thin and
had some missing feathers indicative of being bullied by other eagles. after training the eagle, ana found that he was still being bullied by some
other eagles in the area so she simply shot them down to keep them from hurting him. orion is used as a hunting partner along with sol, he find
s the prey and helps sol flush them out for ana to shoot.

• history •
most of her past is unknown, records erased and false information put in their place. no one knows the truth when it comes to her history, not ev
en herself. ana doesn't remember where she was born, who her parents where, or if she has any siblings and was classified as an orphan on all pu
blic records. she was placed into training as a teenager to become a high level asset within a secret agency that doesn't even know the true nam
e of. training was intense and quite possibly illegal in some regards to the health and safety of the teens that went through it, but it didn't stop
the agency from pushing the kids' limits till they break.

ana was overseas in america on a mission when the apocalypse started and wasn't able to get back to europe after the agency went dark, leaving
her stranded. she had been trained for such a scenario, but zombies hadn't been accounted for. ana struggled for the first few months, but her t
raining and nerves of steel kept her alive. she had been able to find a horse only four months into the apocalypse and a canine companion a few
weeks later at an abandoned boarding kennel. her long time companion, vega, had been brought to texas with her at the start of her mission so
ana counts herself lucky on that behalf. orion, the golden eagle, was found only a few years ago after ana captured the half starved bird and tra
ined him to aid on hunts. she's been able to learn from other survivors by silently spying on them and watching what they do. this is how she lea
rned how to gut and butcher prey better and how strong a fence must be to keep the zombies out. in the five years that she's been surviving alo
ne, ana has changed quite a bit, but still retains all of her past training. such ingrained skills were hard to forget. she's currently still alone, but
has found a small farm [newberry] to claim as her own and has been working hard to get it secure.

alaska is one of differing aspects, a real gem. she can be of some kind of beauty
within the chaos. but if the wrong buttons are pushed, she can be your worse ni
ghtmare. alaska was raised not to take crap from anybody & strive for your own happiness. the girl can become heated quickly, often ending with somebody with
a nosebleed. alaska's parents were an absence almost her entire life, so all she h
ad was herself & friends. not afraid to defend herself or put somebody into their
place; she's demanding & determined. she gets what she wants when she wants
it, & doesn't take no as answer so easily. alaska will try to act cold-hearted, & sh
e can be sometimes, but in reality she has a heart of gold. you just need to dig d
eep enough in order to hit the sweet spot. the toll of the apocalypse hit her hard, causing a change in attitude. now, she keeps her more loving & vulnerable aspec
t on lockdown. the small girl doesn't play well with others, preferring to work alo
ne. or at least she thinks she does. because despite her major trust issues, alaska
can become easily attached or over-protective of loved ones. she's brave & not sc
ared to do something; often not thinking logically. she does before she thinks. al
aska is both street & book smart, finding it easy to get out of a sticky situation if
needed. she's blessed with the ability of quick-thinking. if that wasn't already eno
ugh, she's also extremely stubborn & blunt. if you want the bold truth, alaska is t
he perfect person to go to. she doesn't care enough to lie. a very short-tempered
one, it doesn't take much to set her off. don't let her small figure fool you - she c
an pack quite the punch. sometimes, alaska can act manipulative and even flirty o
n her own accord. she'll usually play this card when she wants something, or just wants to mess with people. before the apocalypse, alaska was titled a "happy-go-lucky" kind of girl. she had great things goin' for her: just graduated university w
ith a degree in automobile mechanics, was to be married to the love of her life,&
was surrounded with positive people. life was finally going into the direction that
she wanted. though, that was all snatched from her with the snap of a finger. alas
ka's wild-spirited and care-free personality is gone, in it's place is somebody mor
e bitter & vengeful. often unforgiving, alaska isn't afraid. she's pretty but deadly.

From the womb, Mae had come from a broken home. While her Father, a lawyer married to his work, worked over seas in his homeland of Sweden, her Mother stayed in eastern Arkansas while the divorce slowly progressed through the system. Allegra Bellerose made a living in the company of her sister, a botanist, while she worked two jobs and daily double-shifts to get by. Mae was born with albinism, a condition that unfortunately hindered her social life. By the age of seven, she developed selective mutism, further isolating her and she was eventually home-schooled. She is familiar with a basic knowledge of plants from the teachings of her aunt. When the apocalypse came she lost her Mother and was separated from her Aunt. So far, she travels alone with her Catahoula Cur, Dilon.
