It has been close to one hundred and fifty years since the
world fell under the complete control of Principes Terrae.
They call themselves the PT, 'leaders of land,' using the an-
cient language of Latin as if to prove their dominance
over the world.These men started their journey to the top
of the world as five individuals trying to find proof of extra-
terrestrial life. Instead, what they brought home to earth
were foreign bacteria. These viruses were exposed to the
world, creating a global pandemic in a matter of months.
The virus killed quickly, and few survived save for the scien-
tists and government officials that started this mess.

Unannounced to the rest of the world, PT had been testing a cure for the virus, since they were the ones planning
to release the virus intentionally to the world. After many failures, they finally found the perfect recipe: high doses
of radiation. PT began their experiments on toddlers. The first few tests of this new recipe proved to have strange
side effects. Mutations occurred within the subjects, all varying slightly. Unsure what to do with the failed exper-
iments, PT created a home for them. They found a large cavern underground. Securing the area they created
a habitat. They produced false sunlight, grew grass and trees, created a constant flow of water, built a small
housing structure and farm. Eventually the area was ready for life. Surrounding it was glass, they called it the
Dome. Sticking the failed experiments inside, they locked the vault from the outside. Soon, the experiments were
forgotten and the world was 'saved' by the cure. PT created a government, and ruled over the remaining few hun-
dred people on Earth.

⋈ Leading up to now ⋈
≪The Arhaeologists≫
Principes Terrae (PT) allowed life to continue as normal, so long as the rest of the world
accepted them as the rulers of the entire world. By now, technology has advanced enough
that a simple program can control every source of power, communication, currency, and
anything else required for daily life. PT could easily watch over their pawn, deciding what
occupation each citizen would have after the age of sixteen. Taking a test would grant you
your job, and no one was unsatisfied. These jobs varied from artist, to teacher, to scientist
and anything in between. A select few were given important jobs such as becoming govern-
ment officials, taking over PT, or social sciences and studies.xxx

Anthropology was rare, as most of the information was collected by databases. Archaeology was the rarest occupation of them all. PT did not want anyone to discover the Dome, so they stopped all the research for digging expeditions. Six people were chosen to become archaeologists all within twelve years of each other. It was quite unusual. They decided to work together, and after searching for a while they discovered the Dome. Nervous about what the young scientists would discover, they were encouraged to investigate. Shortly after, they were locked inside the vault. They have no idea what is inside, nor are they prepared for what they are seeing. A beautiful underground world. But why is it here?

≪The Experiments≫
Most of the experiments were around the age of four or five when they began the first
set of tests. Young enough to not understand what was happening; old enough to keep
those memories deep in the back of their mind.They do not remember any pain, but they
remember being strapped down against their will and the change that happened to their
body. Not all of them had the same results. Some were normal on the outside but mutat-
ed internally, others were physically changed. There was one similarity between them all:
extended life. At first they had no idea this was occurring, they aged rather quickly in fact.

As soon as they hit adulthood, they began to rapidly slow down. Some only aged a 'year' every 20,30,40,or 50 years and others seemed to stop aging entirely. They had or were given everything they needed, weapons, ammo, an education. They learned to survive by farming, hunting, gathering, and crafting. Every once in a while PT would release some sort of mutation, usually a dog or zoo animal that survived being tested as a carrier of the virus. PT still had no idea if the human experiments were alive, so they found no harm in sending the creatures to the Dome. These mutations could prove difficulty for the humans at times, but like any normal animal fought back only when provoked. The experiments learned to survive against all odds. They adapted quickly. How will they react to the new strangers? Will they adapt?

48 hours. If you don't have a decent
form up within 48 hours, your spot
in the rp will be lost.

ii. i have already listed personality
types for each character. please try
and stick to that list. if no personality
is listed, create one. use realistic face
claims. ages are between 18-30

iii. each person is allowed up to two
characters, one archaeologist and one
experiment.

iv. please disable signatures on both the
threads, main and discussion. post your
form in the discussion thread.

v. not everything in the real world goes as
planned, so try to throw in complications.
make sure you always have permission before
injuring another character. and please, fade
to black if anything too risque happens. i will
allow some foul language, but keep it to a min-
imum and within tess' rules.

vi.not everyone is perfect, be sure that
your characters are realistic and not walk-
ing around with a halo over their head.

vii. please try to post as often as possible.
at least every 5 days, with a decent chunk
of writing. i understand that writer's block
happens, so don't worry too much if one or
two posts are a tad shorter. if you do not
post within 5 days, i will pm you and the
spot will be removed, opened again for an-
other person.

mother nature. Plants seem to grow
faster when the experiment touches
them, some even come back to life.
Seeing their mutations as something
good, they hate when things get hurt.
They are very calm, almost seeming to
have infinite patience. When there are
high stress levels, they have difficulty
with their powers.
