You live in a big city in the middle of the United States. It's
quite the populated area, which is good. More people means
more friends. But there's something about this large city that
hardly anyone knows about. Demigods live here. It's often
hard to spot them as they look just like anyone else, except
when you're around them, things change. Maybe you've
immediately fallen in love with an unexpected person, or
you feel an overwhelming sense of fear every now and then.
Maybe you're even a demigod, born from a god and a mortal,
a forbidden love, dropped in the middle of the city with your
mortal parent. It's hard to tell what your story is, so you'll
just have to write your own.

Demigods are generally attracted to each other for some
reason. Maybe it's the god genes in them that pulls them
together, but they will often be seen hanging out together.
Some demigods do avoid each other as they prefer the
company of mortals without powers, but the majority of
the time they enjoy each other's company.

Alex wandered the streets as usual. He practically lived outside of his home. He snarled at anyone who got too close, and people generally avoided him due to his bad reputation. For such a young kid, he was extremely aggressive. He, of course, knew who his father was and where he got the temper, though only he and his mother knew of his origin. He wasn't supposed to be alive. It was practically breaking the laws of the almighty. Still, he didn't much care. He didn't care about much of anything, really. As far as he knew, he was the only one in the world that was the offspring of a god.

This did occasionally trouble him, only because he knew of Ares as the greatest god to ever exist. How could he, the most incredible god, make such a big mistake such as Alex? He shoved his hands in his pockets and bit his lip, running into someone on the sidewalk. He growled and shoved them away. "Get off me!" He shouted, immediately forming his hands into fists in order to fight should the stranger provoke him. His temper wasn't necessarily a good quality about him, but he'd much prefer fighting than cowering and being walked all over.

Danny lay on the couch in his living room, all splayed out. He was bored. Incredibly bored. His mother was out of the house, much like any other time he was in the home, and he had nothing to do. He wrapped the blanket closer to his body and pulled his phone out. He had one friend he knew he could count on; His cousin, Bellamy. Danny knew of Bellamy's father, and Bellamy knew of Danny's. It was hard not to when your cousin is a demigod with nearly the same effect on people as you. Luckily, Danny's aura rarely affected his cousin and closest friend, so they could be around each other for a reasonable amount of time. Bellamy was the only reason Deimos' son wasn't completely friendless.

Danny pulled up his cousin's contact and texted him. "Hey do you wanna hang out? sooooo borred" He pressed send and waited, humming to pass the time. He yawned and adjusted to a comfier position on the couch, listening idly to the television in the background that he wasn't watching. He opened and browsed through a few apps on his phone, looking at people living and enjoying their lives while he was trapped at home, barely able to walk down the street without people edging away from him. It was as if he was surrounded by a natural human repellent. Even animals rarely liked him. And that was why Danny's only friends were his demigod cousin and his goldfish sitting in his bedroom.

Amara had spent most of the morning waiting tables at the tiny cafe and bakery down the road from her apartment.
She was tired, but content as she flicked through the tips she had collected. It mystified her coworkers, but Amara's
customers always seemed easy to get along with and were always very generous in their tips. It was a point of pride
for the stunning girl. She would work for her livelihood, but it didn't hurt to use her abilities to get ahead. Humming
softly, the blonde pocketed her cash and continued walking, heading past her apartment and to the local park. If she
were lucky, she could find some lost and wandering soul and 'assist' them. It may sound bad, that Amara enjoyed using
her abilities on people, but to her, it was why she was around. What was the point in having powers over romance and
beauty if she could never put them to use?

Huffing against a chilly breeze, she pulled her light denim jacket closer to her, wishing she had been smart enough to
wear pants that day instead of the black, pleated, mini skirt and burgundy tights that she had selected. They offered
very little protection against...well any sort of weather.

Amara's thoughts were pulled away from fashion by a barking voice, and she glanced up to see Alex, not far ahead,
yelling at some poor and very terrified soul. Stifling a sigh, the girl continued on. Alex had a bit of a reputation for
violence, and Amara didn't much want to be bothered with his ego at that particular moment. If she were lucky, he
wouldn't even notice her breezing by.
