name: Lavender
gender: nonbinary (they/them); biologically female
kin: Honey
mate: n/a
offspring: n/a
herd: Starherd
appearance:
personality: Lavender is very shy and anxious, and would normally keep to themself most of the time if they didn't constantly face crushing loneliness and a longing to be loved. They're actually quite gullible and trusting, causing them to make many bad decisions. Lavender's always afraid of hurting or disrespecting someone, so many are faced with a barrage of random, almost meaningless compliments in an attempt to make them like them, and often don't speak up about their problems. They also tend to apologize a lot.
backstory: They came to Starherd with their sister, Honey, after wandering alone in the woods for months. The pair was tired of living in Darkherd, disliking the coldness of the herd that they had been born into. Soon after arriving, Lavender became good friends with a buck named Flame. Though Flame often teased them, he was really the only friend that they had, and because of this they stayed friends with him despite his constant namecalling. However, their sister Honey did not tolerate this at all, and one day on a walk alone together Honey confronted Flame for his teasing of Lavender. Lavender said it was fine, but Honey did not agree, and Flame seemed eager to fight with their sister anyway. The two fought for hours, with Flame egging Honey on while Lavender tearfully pleaded for them to stop, but they ignored them. Finally, Honey killed Flame when he refused to yield. Lavender, terrified, ran back to camp, never wanting to look at their crestfallen sister again, who vainly tried to convince Lavender that she was only trying to help. Lavender was not ready to forgive their sister, but before never speaking to her again out of pure fear, they decided to do what may be the last act of kindness towards their sister: they did not tell a soul.
name: Honey
gender: female (she/her)
kin: Lavender
mate: n/a
offspring: n/a
herd: Starherd
appearance:
personality: In contrast to her twin Lavender, Honey is actually quite bubbly and energetic, always looking for an adventure or someone fun to talk to. She's very open-minded and naive, and always loves the first person she sees. Most deer think that Honey only has one emotion: happiness, but this isn't always the case. Honey actually gets angry quite easily, and often takes it out on others. Sometimes she even goes out looking for fights, to the horror of many. Honey is quite quick to judge, and holds grudges for many long periods of time, so it's best if you try to stay on her good side.
