Long ago, a tribe of dragons lived peacefully in the Dragonlands. They were led by a fair and wise queen, who treated everyone kindly. There was peace and happiness for a time. But then, when a mysterious illness kills their queen, the leadership became divided between her three daughters. The tribe split into three, and a war broke out. Hundreds of dragons were killed in the battles. Now, generations later, tensions still run high between the three tribes. Border fights are frequent and loving a dragon in another tribe is forbidden. Will peace ever return to the Dragonlands?

This species tends to be cool and collected. They are normally friendly and playful, though they can act shy and wary to those they don't know. Their scales are small and smooth, and help them blend in and move quickly in the water. These dragons prefer lakes, rivers, and the ocean. Mist Dragon-
These dragons tend to look as if they have no solid body. This is because of the misty glow that comes from their scales. This species is usually reclusive and shy. They can live in all environments and are some of the rarest dragons. This species can fly and they can cause confusion with their mist.
Sea Dragon-
This species is serpentine and very long, sometimes reaching over seventy feet. They live solely in the ocean, sometimes venturing into lakes and rivers to hunt. Poison Dragon-
This dragon is smallest, but is also snakelike, and dangerous. They are a common pest and are vicious and tempermental. They tend to live in swarms and attack their prey as a group, overpowering them with sheer numbers before slowly chewing through their scales, fur or skin to open a wound and poison them. Their venom works quickly and is very difficult to cure; only a nature dragon with the right training, herbs, and experience with magic can cure it. Because of this species behavior, there are very few in any tribe, though it is not unknown for one to join. They live everywhere, even in the oceans, though the ocean species is slightly different so that they can breathe underwater. This species can fly and are extremely venomous.

These dragons have very long bodies, with only a single set of front paws and long fangs. they have a single nose horn and often flicker out their tongues to take in scents like a snake. They can share aspects from snakes as well, just as the sideways movement of a side winder, the hood of a cobra, to the rattle of a rattle snake.
Centipede Dragons-
With long somewhat bulky bodies, they are unable to fly and are rather great climbers with their multiple claw like feet. These dragons are mostly nocturnal and leave in moist area's such as in caves and under large boulders. Their bodes are highly flexible and can fit in almost anything.
Light Dragon
This species is very friendly and intelligent. They do not like to fight, but can be fierce in battle. They have long, lithe bodies that let them twist gracefully in the air. They have thin scales covered by a layer of soft, velvety fur. This species is spread throughout the land and can emit a flashing glow to stun enemies.
Variations-
Lightning Dragon-
This species is large, aggressive and powerful. They prefer to live in the mountains. This species is a very good flier and can shoot lightning.
Sunstone Dragon-
This species is usually gentle, but they can be hot-headed as well. They love to bask in the sun and make friends. They can live in all environments, but lean more towards the mountains and forests. This species can fly and breathe fire.
Dark Dragon
This species tends to be violent and self-centered. They enjoy violence and will often start fights over nothing. Because of this, they are few and far between in the Tribe territories, preferring to stay in the little corners as loners or rouges. This species can fly and breathes dark fire.
Variations-
Moonstone Dragon-
Gentle and kind, these dragons prefer to have company. They love the moonlight and are rather friendly. When angered, they are extremely fierce and will protect those they care about. This species can fly and breathe fire. They live in all environments.

Wind Dragon-
This dragon is small and serpentine. They have no wings; instead, they fly by levitating in a way. They can control the winds and live in all environments.
Storm Dragon-
This species is large, with huge wingspans and a snakelike body (No legs) They can be aggressive, but are usually calmer. They prefer to live in the mountains. This species can fly and create tornadoes by beating its massive wings
Cloud Dragon-
Cloud dragons are friendly and playful. They make their homes in the clouds above the entire land. They are smaller than Sky dragons, but look similar. They have swirled patterns across their scales. This species can fly and breathe fire.
Multiheaded Dragons
The name of these dragons describe them well enough. They are large, have more than one head and have split tempers. This species can fly and prefers the mountains and forests, though some water dwelling varieties exist. Most can breathe fire and fly.
Variations-
Hydra-
This dragon is born with three heads and is very rare. Only the middle head breathes fire and when one head is cut off, two grow back. These dragons are usually very large and cannot fly.
Two-headed-
This species has two heads, two personalities, two minds: Basically two dragons in one body. This is the most common of the Multiheaded Dragons. It can breathe fire, and prefers the forests and mountains. This species can fly. Its personality is unpredictable; each head has its own personality, and even though they share a body, the dragons could be polar opposites.
Tri-drake-
This is an odd species. Out of its three heads, only one is awake at any time, but anything one head is exposed to is shared with the other two. This rotates every twenty-four hours. These dragons are considered very odd because the heads can be different genders. This species can fly and breathe fire. They also have a special ability that activates on the rare occasion all three heads wake at the same time, where they can briefly use magic and release a stunning amount of power. However, this is dangerous and often completely exhausts the user, sometimes leading to death.
Sea Hydra-
This species is actually not a hydra as its heads do not split. It only shares the name because of its multiple heads, ranging from two to five. This species lives in the ocean and is similar in appearance to a sea serpent, only with legs and webbed feet instead of fins. They are also smaller and live almost exclusively in the ocean.
Wyverns
These dragons are massive, with huge wings. These dragons have two legs, normally long and muscular. This stature makes these dragons extremely fast runners. Their personalities and preferences differ with each dragon.
Variations-
Mountain Wyvern
These are the largest of the Wyverns, with thick scales and heavy bodies. They move using their wings as their front legs instead of standing upright. They are very powerful and breathe fire. They prefer the mountains.
Forest Wyvern
These Wyverns are much smaller than their mountain cousins, often living in little groups. They have colorful scales, flashing in almost every color of the rainbow. Their wing types vary, some have feathers and some have the normal leathery wings. They breathe fire and are very acrobatic in the air.
Speed Dragon
These dragons are the fastest of all. They are a little smaller than the average dragon and are very light and thin. Both in the air and on the ground, and even in the sea, these dragons can reach high speeds. Most of them resemble Wyverns, but some do look like normal dragon and a few are similar to ampitheres.
Northern Winter Wyvern
The Northern Winter Wyvern is a species that lives within the cold mountains of the arctic. They are usually any color besides red or brown. Their structure consists of a slender head, many horns, arms with three main fingers and a 'thumb, wings, and a serpent body with no back legs. They can survive by absorbing energy from the air, but sometimes have to scavenge. They are poor hunters. They have a stocky structure that allows them the maximum their body can produce at taking down large things. They are very intelligent and can can see into the future (Rarely) and use flame. Depending on the drake's colour, their main flame will match it. The wyverns often have a "mane" on the back of their head, and sometimes going across their spines. Often times, the wyverns like to tie these back with plant material, or metal. They can live up to about 36,000 years and can grow to a large size. Also, their wings are just about useless but they can fly without them. Their teeth are sharp and pointy, but due to restrictions, have to swallow their food whole. PM me or H.A.D. if you want to RP one.
Ampitheres
These dragons come in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors. Their wing type may vary as well, ranging from feathers, to insectine wings, to leathery, bat like wings. They are very fast and acrobatic. These dragons have serpentine bodies with no legs. Their under bellies have hard, stone like scales that allow them to slither on the ground without harming themselves, even thick enough to resist swords, spears, arrows, and the teeth and claws of other dragons. They are usually friendly and live in all environments. They can breathe fire.
Eastern Dragons
These dragons can some as any species (or even as pygmies of any species) except they have long, serpentine bodies with fis-like scales. They vary greatly in side, length and disposition.
Pygmies
These dragons are the tiniest of creatures. The only species smaller are Poison Dragons. Their personalities and preferences differ with the type of Pygmy. Pygmies can be any species of dragon, just that they are smaller. For example: Fire Pygmy would be the Pygmy form of a Fire Dragon.
Hybrids
These dragons are mixes of the other species listed above. Their personalities and abilities differ with the mixes that they are.
Soulmeisters-
This species is extremely rare and reclusive. They are able to use magic, though they have their limits. Soulmeister magic pertains to souls and the dead/undead and living. Some of the older and more powerful can reanimate bodies for a short period of time by capturing a soul and imprisoning it into said body. This magic can only be done once or twice a week, since it uses a lot of power. In addition, the spell itself will break after a day. Soulmeisters can also briefly raise skeletons to fight for them, the number depending on the strength of the dragon. They can summon spirits to help them or to ask for advice. However, if the Soulmeister summons a spirit too strong for them, they could be possessed. Each Soulmeister carries a staff with a gem to store their power. If a Soulmeister were to use too much power, it could pass out or even die. Soulmeisters are not born with their power. Their spiritual power and magic grows with time. Soulmeisters are the only dragons who can defeat Vampires with ease, using their magic to send them into the Underworld. However, they can only send one or two before using up their power. These dragons 'eat' souls, though not literally. They absorb the energy from a soul, before releasing it back into the world. Please ask Esko_the_Wolf or me if you want to RP one.
Vampire Dragon-
This species is extremely rare, aggressive and powerful. They are purely evil, no good one has ever existed, and its unlikely any ever will. They reproduce by biting other dragons, thus turning them into vampires. They vary in size, ranging from the smallest Poison dragon to the largest Earth Dragon. This species usually are able to fly, unless a flightless breed became one, and is extremely dangerous. There is no known cure for a vampire bite. Bites usually take three days to a week to corrupt the victim. They can only come out at night, and can only be killed by stabbing them in the heart. These dragons do have some weaknesses however. They will die if left in the sunlight, or any bright light, for over one hour and can only bite after the last dragon bitten becomes a vampire. Their weakness to light gives light dragons an advantage over them.
***Anyone who wants their dragon to be a vampire must have that dragon bitten by another vampire first.
(More species will come soon, feel free to PM me or talk about ideas in the discussion thread
You can make your own species/hybrid if you like, just do not make them too over powered. If you would like that species added to the list, just tell me and I will add them ^^)
