earth is dying. scientists estimate that in another thirty years, there will be nothing left.
there's no point in trying to save earth, either- at this point, they only have one choice.
that's where you come in. you're the child of a famous musician, or an artist, or a ground-
breaking scientist or mathematician. either way, you've been chosen as part of a program
that will attempt to save humanity. selected as a child, you've since undergone vigorous
training and teaching in almost every subject possible. with you were children from many
different countries, in an attempt to preserve diversity. now, years later, your group is
being sent out in a shuttle to reach the andromeda, where you will meet with the
other ten groups. every group has ten people. once you make it there, the hundred of
you will live on the huge space station far into the foreseeable future. hopefully, you'll
either find an inhabitable planet or be able to return some day. for now, though, the
biggest problem is getting along with your group. you'll be stuck with only one another
for company on the two month trip to the andromeda. best of luck; you'll need it. x

have one character four. all characters should be between the ages of nineteen and
twenty-five five. realistic faceclaims only six. literacy is not too important, so long
as posts are good quality and at least a few sentences seven. all forms and ooc chat
should go on the discussion thread eight. relations posts are required, but they don't
need to be too in-depth nine. reserves last three days ten. forms don't need to be
extremely well-coded, but all roleplay posts should have a header to avoid confusion

the centauri
this is the spaceship that will be transporting all
ten groups to the andromeda. it's quite spacious
for only ten people and will be housing the selected
people from america, russia, germany, france, and india.
on board is priceless works of art, classic novels, and
less historic stuff such as repair equipment.

→ the cabins
each cabin hosts the two people from each individual
country. they are fairly large and simplistically decorated,
meant for efficiency rather than comfort. they all have
a window that looks out into surrounding outer space and
two beds on opposite sides of the room, as well as a
shared closet with snap-on hangers to keep clothes from
floating around should the gravity ever be shut off. they also
have stereos (though obviously they can't access any radio
stations) and computer screens for viewing in down time.

→ the infirmary
obviously, it's hoped that not many will need to see the
inside of this room, but it's still a necessity. it looks very
similar to a normal doctor's office, with metal cabinets
full of every medical tool you could ever need.

→ the control room
honestly, this place is mostly used as a lounge by the young
astronauts. it's probably the nicest place in the centauri,
with seats that look out into a huge 'windshield.' the walls are
nearly covered in screens of various sizes, and at the front is
a sort of a dashboard covered in various controls. the kids have
been taught the basics of flying the centauri, but for the
most part it is on autopilot or controlled from earth. someone
is expected to use the communication system and report back
to the other ships and earth every day at least. the most import-
ant thing is to not hit the gravity switch, unless of course you
want to send everyone suddenly floating through the ship.

→ the kitchen
the room itself is pretty small, containing only some counters
and one table with ten metal chairs, all bolted to the floor of
course. still, the storage room attached is huge, with plenty of
space-appropriate foods to sustain the group throughout their
two month stay. this is also a common hangout site for the
selected people.

→ the airlock
probably the more important section is the closet right next
to the airlock, which is full of space suits. everyone has been
trained enough to make space walks possible- and maybe even
fun- but no one is allowed to go alone or without notifying
someone.

→ the exercise room
keeping fit is considered to be very important for the young
astronauts. this room is full of various workout equipment.
some people spend their free time here, considering there's
a speaker system similar to the one in the cabins if you want
to listen to music.
