A place for people to go to be by the ocean. This is the best spot to lay in the sun or watch the sun sink into the horizon. Maybe you'll get lucky and spot one of the merfolk in the ocean's crystal blue and clear waters.

This is a popular area for tourists too so it may be difficult to get some peace and quiet unless you wander down the coast, far from the town.

The perfect place for humans and merfolk to chat in private.
Luckily for them, the scientists have never found this place
because of the heavy currents and rocky seas that surround
the area.

It is easily accessible to both the merfolk and humans though.
Swimming is the best way to get there for the merfolk as the
current can't harm them, and there is also a secret tunnel on
the surface hidden at a waterfall in the forest. Because it has
nothing to do with the merfolk, the scientists haven't even
thought about checking there.

A beautiful lush, verdant forest located just behind the beach
at the far end of town. This forest stretches along the coast
and has a beautiful little waterfall in the middle which has the
secret entrance and exit to the cove.

The forest is a very quiet area filled with various creatures. It
is likely one of the more calming places in the town and is also
great for a hike!

This is the place where the scientists collaborate. Located
on a small island, just off shore of the main town, the
scientists made a lab where they won't bother anybody with
their work. That doesn't mean people don't know about it
though. On this island, they have everything they could
possibly need to go merfolk hunting and testing.

The area around this place is covered in cameras and other
digital equipment to help track movement in the and above
the water, it also has a top of the notch security system to
prevent their learned info or specimens from escaping.

The place that has everything, a wonderful place for the humans to live right by the forest and beach. This area is filled with stores, houses, amusement parks and more.A very exciting place for a merfolk to visit if they can get there.

It is a tourist town, and as this is the "land of eternal summer" it is busy all year round with people flocking in from every country whether to visit or to stay.

The storm had passed just recently and everything from driftwood to random little pieces of trash littered the far shores away from town. Tyde looked back and as far as his eyes could see was clear golden brown sand with only his footprints and the ocean's riff raft.
Despite it being littered with so much it still looked beautiful small seashells shining in the sunlight. In the past the male had found many treasures scattered about these shores, a pearl, a conch, and even more while diving.

Lola slowly blinked open her eyes, laying under the waves of the shallows looking up at the surface, that was one heck of a storm, even the underwater currents had been crazy. The siren reached up and gently stroked the seashell necklace she had on. Maybe she could go search for her friend Pandora.
Lola knew that she had been washed ridiculously close to shore, she could see it nearby littered with people, the siren drew back again. She had to go.
Lola swam further away from the shore her pink-purple tail smacking the water as there was just barely enough water for her to swim in.

Slipping out from a hallow in the trees Luka watches as water drips from the leafs and onto the ground, not nearly as bad as it had been during the storm. Normally he'd have found better cover for a storm like the one that had just ended, but he'd still not explored all of the area. At first, he had thought about hiding in the water that a waterfall fell into in the forest, but he'd seen others there before and hadn't wanted to get spotted just yet. With one final look around to make sure no one could see him Luka zipped out of his cover, his wings propelling his body off the tree and into the air.

With the storm finally over Arina would be able to make her way over to the labs, not wanting to take a boat over to the island in the bad weather. It wasn't a big deal at the time, she didn't have anything over there that needed her immediate attention, nothing in any of the machines. For the moment she was doing mostly observation work and research on what they believed they were looking for. It wasn't hard, she rather enjoyed the lore research and for observation, she'd gone on a couple dives and spent time out on the boat with some underwater cameras. If nothing else she was learning tons about the wildlife in the area, keeping notes on them for a paper she was righting. With that in mind, the young scientists made her way along the docks toward the boat she used, small enough to pilot by herself but to not tip over in the waves on her way out.

N A O M I - S U N K I S S

Laying limp on the west side of the beach, Naomi's unconscious body laid still as the gentle waves covered the ends on her feet in the familiar salt water she had known her entire life. The brutal stormy seas of the previous night had washed her away in open waters and onto a beach she had never been to before. The only clothing she had was her Selkie pelt wrapped around her body tightly, sand covering her fur and hair. Groaning slightly as she felt a sharp pain in her right calf. A fairly large gash crossing the top to the middle of her calf and it was bleeding rather slowly due to the sand packed into the wound.

Roanan awoke to the sounds of small wave lapping against the shore. For a moment he wasn't sure where he was, but then he remembered. The storm had driven him in to the cave on the shore. As Roanan sat up his body groaned in protest he felt like one giant bruise, and probably looked like one too. The ocean around the cave had been wild, and between the currents and storm he had been slammed into rocks more then once before reaching the cave. Roanan grabbed the sack next to him feeling lucky that he'd been carrying human clothes around with him when the storm hit. After he had pulled out his clothes, Roanan slid out of his seal skin and stuffed it in his sack before putting on his human clothes. The human clothes were pretty soggy. Once Roanan was dressed he grabbed his sack and decided to look around the cave to see if he had another option besides swimming out. Soon he found himself going up a tunnel that lead from the cave. After a couple minutes of walking Roanan found himself looking at a waterfall. After walking through the waterfall Roanan stood in a stream in some forest with no idea how to get back to a regular beach.

During the storm, Drake had been hiding the best he could by a couple of rocks that jutted out of the sea, so that he wouldn't be pushed close to the shore. He had been roughed up a fair bit, but he was otherwise okay, and he was immensely pleased and grateful that he'd made it through the storm. He inwardly sighed, then he carefully peered over the top of the rocks, looking towards the shore. He could see, even from here, that quite a few other merfolk had been pushed to the shore, and he grew concerned. While he would have helped, the last thing he really wanted was to potentially face a human, so he stayed where he was, just watching and waiting.

Pandora breached the surface of the sea, and glanced around, hardly daring to believe that the storm was finally over. She had stayed underwater, finding some sort of cove to hide in, so that she wouldn't get battered by the storm, or pushing ashore. She carefully readjusted the headpiece that she wore, and brushed a hand over her shell necklace. She, no doubt, still managed to look almost impeccable - something that she prided herself on. She looked around, wondering where some of the other merfolk were, her eyes widening slightly in shock, when her gaze fell onto the shore.
