I hear a voice come over the intercom asking for permission to start, causing me to smile, "YES START!" I exclaim, hearing the siren's song come on shortly after filling the halls. The song says to join the army's side, and even over a recording, the power still stands. Anyone who heard it would slowly lose their ability to resist the song, and ultimately join the army.

"Let's go!" I yell, racing to the entrance of the cave and jumping out, flapping my wings as I zoom back up so I'm level with the cave. "C'mon everyone! Let's get going!!" I laugh, eager to help.

Lex nodded quickly and sprang up, following after her. She was pretty sure her power would be up now, and she was eager to get moving. Staying in one place when something bad could be happening to them made her uneasy. While she walked to Clarissa, she wondered when the point was that she started really trusting them. As she thought about it, she remembered she hadn't told them about the second part of her power. 'I'll probably have to talk about that soon.. maybe I'll end up using it, who knows.' she thought.

"Do you need a lift, Lex?" I call, smiling as I gently fly closer, barely a meter from the edge of the plateau in front of the cave. "I can carry you down to the forest if you need it!"

As the song comes on, I cover my ears. A siren wasn't immune to her own song unless she was the one singing it. If I heard that song, I would be forced to join the army again.
Unfortunately, despite my efforts to block out the noise the sound seeps through my hands and I find my mind flickering between frantic thoughts to calm.

'The army need me... no my friends needed me!
My friends? Who were my friends, they were in the army- no they were fighting the army.'

Finally, when my mind settles I resume my role of spy and special marine. I knock against the glass with irritated eyes pointing to the cage above me clearly annoyed.
I was once again the property of the army.

I listen to the song completely unaffected thanks to the chip in my neck. I watch the female siren struggle to battle her own song, but eventually she fell, demanding her immediate release and return of her voice. Smiling as the song continues to play, actually getting louder so it was able to be heard from the edge of the forest, I order one of the Privates to open Syrena's tank and to let her out. I walk up behind the male Private going to change her tail back to legs for her. It was a Lieutenant Commanders job to take care of her troops, and these people were mine.
They had deserted, and they needed to take responsibility.
