Skuastar woke up with a jolt, anxiety creeping upon him faster than a running rabbit. The voice of Dovestar echoed in his mind, reciting the vague prophecy; "Three fledglings will fly off, only to guide a storm under their wings as they return." He hastily sat up from his nest and groomed his silken golden brown fur, then speed-walked out of the comfort of his den. As soon as he stepped paw outside, a strong gust slammed into him, and he was immediately pelted with raindrops. Nonetheless, he pushed on, until he reached the teller's den. He entered the den without warning- the leader didn't need an invitation inside, right? Especially not with something so vital.
"Quetzalcrest, you and I need to have a talk. Immediately. This is incredibly important." The young leader urged, not caring about whether or not the tom was awake or not. His tail tip flicked back-and-forth with great impatience as he waited for the teller's response.

Nightingalesong had woken up a while ago, but she procrastinated leaving the den to brace the foul weather of the day. Instead, she sat out of the way of the nest where cats were rousing, and sat near the exit of the den, gazing to the outside. She noticed the leader rushing out of the den, scoffing quietly to herself at the look of disgust he gave as he was taken off guard by the wind and rain. His actions piqued her curiosity as he slipped inside of the teller's den, but she didn't feel like eavesdropping today. She had never been fond of Skuastar, not as a deputy, and especially not as a leader. He carried himself so arrogantly, and while a leader was higher in rank, it didn't necessarily mean he could treat other cats as lower. What she wouldn't give to take over his position, and to treat her clanmates with the respect they deserved... Or perhaps her intentions were more selfish? Perhaps she simply desired power.

When Canaryheart woke up, the first thing he noticed was Nightingalesong sitting cozily by the exit of the den, staring to the outside. He always thought she was kind of odd- suspicious, even- and this didn't seem to ease his opinion at all. That aside, he prepared himself for the day with the typical grooming and stretching routine, before carefully weaving through the crowd of nests and passing Nightingalesong on the way out of the den. Wind and rain attacked him, but he ignored it the best he could. He could only hope that Anhingaheart would assign him to one of the morning patrols, otherwise he'd die of boredom. With no apprentice to train, nor a mate or kits to tend to, he had nothing better to do. With a huff of impatience, he sat down underneath one of the thicker-canopied trees, which partially blocked some of the rainfall. His soft yellow eyes flickered about camp, taking mental notes who were waking up and starting their days.

Jaywatcher woke up when he heard his brother, Canaryheart, get up beside him, and groggily, the smaller of the two brothers lifted his head. He watched as his brother, without a moment's hesitance, stepped out into the windy and rainy world. The silver tom let out a small groan, stretching his limbs out, taking up the space of Canaryheart's nest. He didn't even make an effort to get up, promising himself that he'd be one of the last few to get up today. Usually he was an early riser, but he was on one of the later patrols yesterday, and he still felt sore from hauling himself across the rocks near the cliffs' edges. His paws were also pretty tender from the experience, with sharp stones that occasionally drew a little blood when he stepped on them. He set his head back down, forcing his eyes back shut, but his ears were still attune to the shifting cats around him.

Cardinalblaze woke up to the fierce sound of the wind howling outside the nursery, and the rain pelting against the den. Today would most certainly lead to a tough decision- either let the kits get horribly muddy while they play outside, or make them stay inside the nursery, which would mean lots of complaints. They were four moons now, and like any mother, she felt bittersweet. Soon enough, she'd be able to go on patrols, and go for walks through the territory without guilt. Nowadays, it wasn't like she could ask Skuastar to watch over them for her while she takes a break- he was still bitter from her splitting off. Still, she enjoyed motherhood, and she adored her kits just like any mother does. While she mulled over what to do with the dreary day, she gave all three of her kits affectionate licks on the tops of their heads.

Lily sat upon the cliffs, watching as the waves crashed against the jagged walls. The waves reached high up, but failed to break over the edge. She often came here when she felt lonely, taking some comfort in the lovely scenery, even on a nasty day like this. She came here when Leopold fell ill, she came here the day after she left her kits at Birdclan's borders, and she came here after Leopold's death. She craved company, but knew better than the wander into Birdclan's territory to seek it. She had no intention of joining the clan, no matter how much she wished to see her two sons again. A cream-colored tom and a silver tom, like the sun and the moon. The she-cat closed her eyes and lifted her chin to the sky, embracing the way the wind felt against her long pelt.
