She tried kicking again but got exhausted quickly and went limp, trying to catch her breath as blood covered the forest floor and sounds seemed to be muffled. Memories from his earlier moons came flooding back to him. "You're not family," Oak mewed simply, giving in to the pain. He sounded calm and peaceful. "Family isn't so cruel. And if family is, I don't want it," Oak laid on the grass, not moving as Blake took Fang's place in pinning him down. Oak didn't train to fight all day like them so he decided there was nothing he could do. Oak's gaze flicked to Embereyes as if saying 'I'm sorry' and then closed his eyes.

The large tom backed away from Embereyes slowly, obeying his father. Viper didn't choose to have him ruling his life, but it was the only choice he had. He padded towards Oak and sat so that he was glaring directly into his eyes. "You're a fool, Oak," Hatred and cruelty seemed to erupt angrily from each word he spat. "I would have learned the first time, but you just can't keep away from the she-cats, can you?" Viper hissed, chuckling.

"Now, we wait. When you see a fish, wait for it to get close, then hook it with your claws and fling it onto the grass!" she finished enthusiastically. Rippledawn watched Ashfur out of the corner of her eye while also trying to keep an eye on the water.

Rippledawn took off after her, striding out as much as she could. So far, throughout all of their races, Rippledawn had lost, but she didn't mind. No matter how fast she was, Ashfur's legs were simply longer. The pale tabby watched Ashfur as she ran, admiring her with every step.

"I'd love to!" She stifled a giggle as OwlPaw tried to talk with a shrew in his mouth "Under the Willow tree!" She lifted herself to her paws and bounded over to a large willow tree, it's branches were so long they brushed the ground, making a sort of canopy-like shelter underneath the tree. "Isn't it pretty?"

Elmwind swallowed and his dark fur felt hot in embarrassment as she brushed against him. “Y-Yea it should.” He agreed “I doubt we will. Things have been quiet lately.” He slowed his pace so that she could trot along beside him. He accidentally brushed his huge against hers. “Sorry.” He muttered, staring straight ahead and clenching his jaw.

Tigerpool shrugged. “I’m not too worried about it.” She admitted “Sure, having an apprentice is awesome. You get to form a warrior and they make you proud. But I’m not sure I’m the mentoring type. Not a very good teacher.” She bundled up a fresh ball of moss and padded up beside him.

The apprentice nodded, heart beating fast as he licked her. She looked around for her mentor, wondering what they would do. She had been an apprentice for a while, so she knew most everything that was able to be taught. Never the less, she wanted to cram as much as she could into her training.

Focusing her attention on clan matters she nodded to her mate. "I've been assigning apprentices to some of the younger cats recently.. Trying to get the most promising ones some experience.. But I think for Driftkit i'll give her to someone more experienced.. I'd like to give her to one of the older cats.. But i'm trying to figure out which one will have the most patience and time for any extra needs she might have." though she was busy talking she was still keeping an ear out for her kits. Listening to them playing just in case one of them needed her. Her gaze flickered towards the entrance of the den as if she could just find the perfect cat waltzing by.

Swiftleap gently bumped his shoulder against hers "I think you'd make a great mentor but I see where you're coming from." he said. "Sometimes I think I'd like to have an apprentice.. But sometimes I also don't.." he shook his head. "They have to wait on you for their training so if you're busy it can probably get really frustrating for them." he said. He headed back over to the warrior's den and slipped back into to continue working on the nests.

Hawktalon stood up, "Looks like it." he said as he looked around trying to spot their apprentices. "Not that I mind... Do you see them anywhere? Or do you think their still asleep?" he asked frowning lightly before he turned his attention on the apprentice's den. "I'm sure for sure Owlpaw is asleep.. Or at least maybe I hope he is so I haven't lost him, but does Whitepaw sleep in as late as her brother?" he asked as he started to pad towards the apprentice's den, glancing back at his mate.

Reedgaze let out a laugh as she moved closer to the water "At this rate i'm going to lose to both you and Bearheart." she said. She settled down beside the water, careful not to let her shadow cast over it. As she quieted down reality sunk in, the clan needed this, if they didn't eat well during green leaf it would only make leafbare all that more harder. Lashing out quickly as she spotted a fish she pulled it up onto the shore and let out a breath she didn't know she'd been holding. Killing it quickly she moved it to the side, it was pretty small, she could do better. She turned her gaze back to the water, twitching her ears lightly as she listened for her clanmates.

While she was distracted by Maplekit rolling over her she didn't see Lavenderkit get up and join the fray. She let out a loud squeal and began to squirm trying to get out from under him and get the upper paw on her siblings again. She tried swatting wildly at them with her paws though she missed most of the time.

➣ With a long huff of tiredness, the grey tabby made her way back into the nursery. "Thank you for watching over them." Wolfheart mewed gratefully to Dawnfeather. With a purr the queen settled down in her nest to provide warmth for her kits and looked up at her den mate. "Just let me know when you want to stretch your legs and I will be honored to watch over your kits." the she-cat mewed once more to Dawnfeather.

➣ Ghostkit once more felt a slight warmth of a tail but it didn't smell of his mother's scent. He mewed once more until he could smell his mother's scent and mewed happily when he felt his own mother's warmth again. Slowly and wobbly, the young fluffy tom made his way closer to Wolfheart's chest once more.
