All around you, you can hear the sound of cats calling out for loved ones in their sleep, or lashing their tail against the bars of the cages. You can smell the fear as the floor moves beneath you. The dank air smells salty, and you can hear water. Fierce, unforgiving water.
The floor lurches, and you stumble. A flash of light dimly lights up the pitch black room. You hear the humans shouting above you as the floor sways. Then, a crack. A large piece of wood breaks off of the wall, revealing the storm-tossed sea. The cats meow in fright.You immediately start working on loosening the catch to free yourself. You let out a meow of triumph as the door springs open.You know you have to help the others.
You start working on freeing the others. Every cat you free turns and starts helping the others. Within a few minutes, every cat is free. And just in time. Water starts splashing into the room. You turn to run out the exit, but don't make it far before a wave splashes over you. You let out a yowl as your head breaks the surface. All around you, cats are flailing to stay above the water in the open ocean.You can see the boat starting to break apart and sink.
Looking around, you see a dark shape on the horizon, and start swimming towards it. As you draw closer, you can see it is an island. Until you have somewhere better to go, this is the best place to be. The other cats follow suit, and soon you are all on land. Safety at last. A spark of hope, like a flame, warms you up. This is your home now, however temporary. These are your cats. You can see them looking to you for guidance. You are the leader, and they are your subjects. You are Flamestar of FlameClan.
