Skywhisker spoke, and I knew what she was trying to do. But I wouldn't allow it. If I were a stronger tomcat, I could've easily overpowered the badgers quicker and killed them with less stress. The three of us wouldn't be as hurt as we were now.

If only I was a bigger, stronger tomcat, none of this would've needed to have happened...

Shellfrost's sudden outburst caught me by surprise. But in the end, she was right. This Clan has been here a very long time, way before the badgers, and because they thought they could just stroll wherever they wanted to and threaten us we are supposed to just lie down and take it? No way.

Shellfrost apologized for what she said, and I found myself brushing my tail softly against her in support.

"It's ok Shellfrost," I said, "but what is done is done. We're hurt, but we're alive. As the tom of the trio, I take full responsibility for what happened because I should've been in control when I wasn't I should've been able to protect both Briarsky and Skywhisker but I couldn't. I'm a disgrace to the name Warrior tom; I know it and have known it for a long time,"

Shellfrost sighed and let Rowan's tail comfort her, and she realized he was vaguely agreeing with her. "Oh, Rowantooth, don't feel bad! We all make mistakes, and must learn from them." She said, smiling again, hoping to recover from her shocking yowl. This time it was her sister who spoke up. "Shellfrost is right. These badgers are recent. So what are we gonna do about it?" She meowed, now addressing Lightstar as well as the warriors. "I say we should take down all the badgers! Drive 'em out." She said. Her plan was brash and sure to fail but it reflected her strong desire to avenge her clanmates.

Gɪɴɢᴇʀғʀᴏsᴛ nodded slightly and glanced up at the sky. "Lets go back to camp, but first I need to find Tinypaw." She meowed to Snatcher, turning and padding away a few paw steps then glanced over her shoulder. "Don't forget the squirrel, Snatcher." She mumbled, grasping the sparrow in her jaws tighter them disappearing through a bush.

As if he could get the squirrel with a mouth full of rabbit. Grumbling, he dragged the rabbit over to where he had hidden the squirrel and reached down, dropping one catch and nosing away the leaf litter. Carefully, he picked up the squirrel by the tail and then the rabbit by the base of the ear; there was no way he would be able to get his jaws around it's neck with a squirrel too.

Shaking his fur, Snatcher turned and began to pad after Gingerfrost, tail twitching in agitation.

Tinypaw sighed and scented the air, wondering what she could hunt next, and her tail twitched out behind her as she caught a scent. So far, the grey tabby pelted apprentice had caught a mouse and a vole, and the prey that she had just scented was a squirrel, and she smiled. The small she-cat crouched down and let her eyes scan the forest floor, she had buried the vole and mouse by a nearby tree. Her crystal blue eyes finally spotted the squirrel by some tangled tree roots, and she flicked her slightly, eyes glinting as she looked at the squirrel. The young apprentice began to stalk towards the squirrel, stopping every time it looked up to see if anything was following or to hunting it. When she was close enough, she pounced forward and trapped the squirrel between her paws, giving it a swift bite to the neck before it could do anything. Then the she-cat let the dead animal go and she smiled, the squirrel was nearly as big as her, it was her biggest catch yet! Then the young apprentice grabbed the squirrel by the tail before she went to where she had buried the mouse and vole. She unburied the two pieces of prey and picked them up before the grey tabby she-cat padded away, looking for Gingerfrost.

Lɪɢʜᴛsᴛᴀʀ stood silently as she listened to Rowantooth and Skywhisker apoligize, her ears flicked slightly as a few other warriors murmured their opinions. Her yellow eyes darted to Shellfrost as the she-cat meowed something. Nodding with agreement she looked back at Rowantooth and Skywhisker, "There is no need to apoligize. If you three had not.. Killed the badgers, our clan would be in serious danger.. She meowed, looking around at the other cats in the clearing. "Now, go to the medicine cat den." She meowed sternly, her tail lashed once in the direction of the medicine.

Gɪɴɢᴇʀғʀᴏsᴛ blinked her silver-grey eyes as she looked around, her ears pricked forward as she heard pawsteps up ahead. Silently, the ginger she-cat continued through the forest her ginger tail waving in the air. Gingerfrost glanced over her shoulder once, then looked forward again to see Tinypaw through the bushes, purring she padded through them and placed her sparrow on the ground. "Nice job Tinypaw." She meowed.

The tabby tom shouldered his way through a bush and stopped next to Gingerfrost, watching her exchange with her apprentice, Tinypaw. He himself had not yet been trusted with an apprentice, but he supposed it would do him good to stay with the two. It looked like Tinypaw had been hunting too, so they could all return to camp together and drop of their prey.

Nodding his head in greeting to the apprentice, he also placed the rabbit and squirrel on the ground and sat down, golden eyes switching between the two.

The she-cat looked up as her mentor and Snatcher came into view, and she nearly dropped her prey, startled by their sudden appearances. She then placed the vole, the mouse and the squirrel carefully on the ground before she looked at her mentor as she said something. "Thanks Gingerfrost." The grey tabby apprentice meowed as her mentor praised her. She then took a glance at Snatcher, the young she-cat was very nervous around the tom, she was always nervous around cats she didn't know. She then looked back at her mentor, blue eyes glinting.

Gɪɴɢᴇʀғʀᴏsᴛ couldn't help let out a purr of amusement as she looked down at her startled apprentice, her silver-grey eyes gentle. Her tail began to twitch slightly as she noticed Tinypaw's gaze slip past herself and land on Snatcher, the apprentice had a nervous look in her eyes. Glancing over her shoulder to look back at Snatcher, "don't worry Tinypaw. He wont bite.." She meowed, looking back at Tinypaw. "Not much anyway." She added, bending her head down and picking up the sparrow. "Come on, lets get back to camp." She meowed, her voice muffled by the feathers.

The tabby looked at her mentor as she said that Snatcher wouldn't bite, and she flicked her tail but didn't say anything, she would just have to trust her mentors words. She listened to Gingerfrost speak again and she nodded, picking up the three pieces of prey she had hunted. Her blue eyes glinted as she struggled with the squirrel, but she finally got it in her grip so it wouldn't drag along the forest floor. Then she turned her crystal blue gaze to Gingerfrost, waiting for her tabby pelted mentor to lead the way to camp.
