of peter's mouth as he quietly approached her from behind. should he tell her
about.. all that had happened? just the other day? the coolest thing ever..?

er how much he liked and trusted tessa. with anything. except how he really
felt about her. that was the only thing.

he snuck up behind her and put his hands on her shoulders. "TESSA!" he shriek
ed, giggling on the inside at seeing her jump. he was probably going to get p
unched in the throat, but he didn't care. it was funny.

dropping her books, tessa rolled her eyes and turned around. "this better be good, parker or i swear." she playfully threatened as she shoved the male. "you're such a - ugh!" she bent down to grab her textbooks, her headphones slung around her neck.
"is there something funny, hm? cause i'll show you funny." her dark hair cascaded over her shoulder as she finally gathered all of her things and closed her locker. "so, what's up, petey?" she said, though she was still a bit annoyed about him scaring her.

"what's.. up.. is that.." peter stammered, though still unsure whether or not
he should spill the beans about the spiderman suit. tony's words played on a
loop in his head. he made a few weird facial expressions before he finally f
inished what he had to say. ".. the homecoming dance is coming up aaaaand
paris.. told me that.. he got a date with your friend ramona! that's cool for
him, isn't it, huh?" he let out a little high-pitched laugh. ugh. how awkward.

tessa laughed at the boy's nervousness. "still haven't got a date, do ya pete?" she teased before leaning against her locker. her best girl friend ramona giovanni had like the hugest crush on paris, so it didn't surprise her that the pair were going to homecoming together. "good for them, i'll give her a noogie in fifth when i see her. paris too." tess was known for being brash and not as girly as the rest of the girls at midtown, possibly why she was more comfortable being around peter than ramona. "i'm still deciding if i actually wanna go or not."

"i.. haven't got a date yet. but that's alright! i mean, you can go solo to
homecoming.." peter suggested, looking at tessa somewhat expectantly.
"we.. we both could go.. solo.." he mumbled, wincing at what was com
ing out of his mouth. just ask her, you blubbering idiot. but there was no
way he could risk their friendship like that. besides, he'd probably have
spiderman stuff on the night of homecoming anyway. so..
