Feet racing, she had to get away. With cloak on, she ran through the crowded and narrow town streets. Her eye darted back and forth, to avoid running into anything, but she hit a bucket. Tripping over herself, she rolled to a halt as guards came towards her. She looked up from under the cloak and saw the bread she had stolen. Leaving it, she remounted to her feet and sprinted off around a corner.

Mitchell saw her run around the corner and cut through the streets dodging people and animals as he ran to catch the girl. He finally cut her off Peter still running behind her he grabbed the girl and pulled the hood of her cloak down he shoved her to Peter who grabbed her. Mitchell turned heading back towards the castle and Peter dragged her back to the castle and threw her into one of the empty cells. Mitchell sighed and locked the door behind her.

She looked behind her, smiling as no one was following. Maybe all they wanted was the bread back. As she turned to face forward again at her run, she was stopped short by a guard snatching her. Murina was shocked by his sudden appearance. "Let go of me!" She begged, pulling her arm away from him. It was no use as the strength of him outweighed her strength. As she struggled, the man shoved her into the other guard and when looked at him with wide eyes. "Please! I beg of ye!" She pleaded with them as she was dragged away. "Someone, please!" She looked around, but no one offererd help. They entered the castle and she had given up trying to win over the two. The one leading had lead them to a dark and dingy place, having an odd odor to it and the squeaking of rats heard above the heads. As they approached a cell, she looked mighty terrified. To no avail, the thief was thrown into the dirt floor. She stumbled and caught herself on the floor and back wall. Quickly turning around, her dark eyes watched the door clang shut with a horrible noise. The guard who was leading locked the door and she watches him. "Sir... I beg of you..." She started her whisper as she took a step forward. "Please..." Her eyes looked up to the man as she got on her knees and hands placed against the metal. "Spare me, and let me go. I meant no harm but only to feed my family." Murina had a pitiful look towards Mitchell. She could only pray to God this would work.

Mitchell flinched a little at the girl's begging he sighed and walked down the rows of cells and out of sight for a minute before he came back and bent down and slid a plate of bread and a cup of water into the cell "I have family to take care of too, and if they find out I let a thief go.. they wont show such mercy..." he said and turned his back to the girl and sighed he did wish she could go free but he knew that was not possible. If he let her go not only he, but his mother and sister would suffer as well.

After her last beg, she watched him as he stood there. To her, it looked like he wasn't going to move. But what did she know. She was only one of the petty commoner folk who lived under the kingdom's laws, and thieving was something frowned upon. Her eyes watched him, then as he walked away and Murina lowered her eyes to the floor and scooted away from the cold bars holding her in. She didn't look up until the sound of footsteps suddenly were outside her cell again, and there stood the guard. Brown eyes swept over him as he kneeled down to push the plate of bread and the cup of water in. As he got back up, she went for the bread and tore at it, looking up at him as her lips drank from the cup. Picking up his words, she set her cup and bread down. "Does that mean...?" Her voice quivered as it fell silent when he turned his back and started to walk away. With that, she leaned back again, eating her bread until it was gone and drinking the water to help wash it all down. Her hands placed the cup on the plate and she pushed it to the edge of the cell with her foot. Her back leaned against the cold stone and she wrapped her arms with the dark cloak that has protected her and kept her warm all these years. Head leaning back and placing itself on the wall and eyes droopping shut, she fell asleep, worn out from her running and the meal that filled her stomach.

Mitchell sighed and went off to the castle he did not return until later it had gotten colder as the sun had sank an he knew the cells were quite cold. He stopped at her cell and slid a blanket into the cell "Return the cup and the plate..." He said not looking at her. He had convinced them to spare her since she was just a petty thief and a woman he convened them that she could not do much harm. That was the angle he had use that she had only managed to grab hinge when people were not paying attention and had left it out in the open. They had agreed to let her stay in the cells with no other punishments. When se finally gave him the cup and plate he slid another cup of water and a plate of bread back "You are fortunate... I spoke on your behalf... No further punishments will be put in place" he said

With a sudden jump, she awoke and looked around. She moved herself to sit up more and brush a few loose strands from out of her face. Her eyes darted around and she turned her head to get a full view of the cell finally. No one was around, and the light was starting to fade from the barred window. She longingly looked towards it and was about to get to her feet when she heard the sound of footsteps stopping. Turning her head, brown eyes shimmered up to the guard offering her a blanket. Crawling forward, she took the blanket and shoved the dishes to him at his orders, retreating back to the corner of the cell. Her eyes looked at him, capturing his every move. She didn't notice the fact he never looked at her. Soon after returning the dishes, more bread and water were given. "Thank you." She spoke, quietly as she took her dinner without any objection. The blanket was wrapped around her arms anencephaly she sat on part of it, and the extra around her arms ran down her legs to cover her long dress. As she ate and drank of the provided meal, he had spoken up. She paused her meal, looking to him. Silence echoed after his words and she set the food aside and got to her knees, bowing to him slightly. "Oh I thank you kindly, good sir." She said, head facing the ground and eyes closed. "May the Lord bless you and your household for your good deeds." Her words rang true. Relief filled her knowing these facts. With her hands still clasped together, she let out a soft breath she seemed to be holding in. Her dominate right hand touched the cross necklace she possessed and nodded thankfully to herself.
