.....Since Alex hadn't actually been touched by the Frinn demon, but had instead been knocked out by sleeping gas, he didn't really need Sterling to use his powers to help him wake up. The air near the floor wasn't that filled with gas, so he didn't take long to wake after Sterling had started dragging him across the floor. He opened his eyes slightly, pulling his sleeve over his mouth and pulling Sterling down closer to the floor where the air was clear of sleeping gas. The Frinn demon seemed to chuckle, reaching out to attempt to grab a hold of Alex and send him back to sleep.

..... "Hey relax, nothings going to happen unless you decide to stab someone in the head." She gently pulled Rose towards the door set in the wall and pushing it open revealed a bar filled with many types of demons. "Do you like chocolate cake? The cakes here are brilliant."

Sterling took a deep breath, sputering and still coughing to try and clear whatever had made him start coughing. He did finally have enough focus to lash out with his blade though, feeling it just graze flesh as he struggled to get a hold of himself. "D-mn-t," he snapped at Alex as he struggled to at least stand up halfway, clear headed enough now to be able to fend off atack. He preferred not to fight down here though, and would much, much rather go back upstairs to do that.

Rose nodded with a mumbled sure, looking around warily. She had been raised to kill these things, not sit in a cafe with them. "Huh? Oh... Of course," she said with a nod, still sticking very close to the other girl

.....Coughing and spluttering Alex moved away from the demon, who was reaching out to touch him, as fast as he possibly could. His lungs were pining for air, fresh countryside air. He managed to get to the stairs, where the air was clearer, and looked up to watch the blurry demon, who seemed to have a cut across their face, fight the equally blurry Sterling. Alex felt terrible for being unable to help right now, but he knew if he stood up he'd fall over from dizziness and there might be a return from his dinner. The demon started laughing at the boys and Alex clutched his head since it was too loud for him to handle right then. "Are we not feeling sleepy today? Perhaps I can help with that." The demon lunged towards Sterling, laughing.

..... Victoria led Rose over to a table in the corner where she could easily grab the girl if she made a run to try and kill a demon. She picked up the pile of menus from the middle of the table and began sifting through them before passing one over that was marked 'human food'. All the other menus seemed to be marks 'werewolf' or 'vampire' etc.

Sterling really didn't pay attention to the fact that Alex was backing up, too preoccupied with the demon in front of him. His side ached and burned, snd he was pretty sure things weren't going to be pretty when they got out of there, and would need it to be healed. Keeping the demon at bay was becoming harder and harder, though he had managed to land a long gash across its midsection, but doing so had caused him to partialy stand up, the sleeping gas making him quite dizzy. "Alex!" he yelled, as forcefully as he could. "Snap out of it and kill the thing or we're both dead!" Xavier stumbled and fell, slamming his side once more into the ground. He heard the chuckling of the thing reberating off the walls, as its long fingers reached toward him slowly. "Say nighty-night, larson," it hissed as Sterling grabbed for his sword, rolling away from it.

"I'm not stupid," Rose grumbled, knowing what Victoria was doing. "I wouldn't attack anyone here." Instead of taking the menu she was being handed, Rose took one of the others, just scanning it. She pulled a face at what she found, moving onto the next. "Interesting," she mumbled.

.....Alex easily heard Sterling yelling, and forced himself not to back away from the loud noises. The tunnel was growing brighter though there wasn't any light around to make it brighter, it was the absence of shadows. Alex's eyes were pitch black when he opened them, and when he flicked his wrist in the direction of the demon, streamers of pitch black shadow launched through the air towards it and wrapped around the demon - wrapping it up pretty much like a mummy. Alex groaned from using so much power in one go and slumped against the stairs tiredly.

..... "Your parents would if they were given a chance." Victoria pointed out. She watched Rose pull faces at the different menus, "This is a demon cafe, did you expect them to all eat cupcakes and sprinkles?" She picked up the pile of menus and moved it out of Rose's way before it got to the menus with items that had been obtained illegally... Like cut off arms. She passed over the human menu again.

Sterling took a few moments to catch his breath before struggling to his feet, driving the sword he held through the still half struggling demon. He left it there, not really thinking about the fact he was going to want it again later. He stumbled back towards Alex, gripping him under his arms to lift him up. "Let's go," he muttered. "Before we really do get killed." He began helping the boy up the stairs, even though he was pretty sure he'd pass out when they got home, or when he got himself onto his horse. "Come on you big lump, help me out here," he grumbled, stopping halfway up the stairs to press a hand o his side with a wince..

"Well, I'm not my parents," Rose muttered, taking the menu handed to her slowly, scanning it. The things on it seemed much more edible, and she paid nomid to the menus Vactoria was tkaing away and setting aside . "What do you recommend?" she asked..

.....Alex grumbled a little when Sterling started to drag him up the stairs, he just wanted to go to sleep, what did it matter about demons killing them when he was so tired? The rational part of his brain did attempt to help out, slipping an arm around Sterling's shoulders to hold himself up and grabbing the banister as he stumbled up the stairs. He knew talking was likely to help him keep away so he tried to enter a little conversation with Sterling when he stopped, "Your parents are going to murder the both of us. We're going to my parents house since they are away in York."

..... "You look like your mother, you have her smile. But I agree, you're not like them, you let me get away with jumping out of windows." She didn't bother looking at the menu since she'd already memorized it. "Chocolate cake. It's to die for. Its layers of cake, cream, fruit, more cake, chocolate, more chocolate... It's so nice... That or the potato stew and dumplings. For drinks, stick to the fruit juices."

"We have to get up the stairs first," Sterling mumbled, once again hooking his arms under Alex's arm, dragging him up a few more stairs. "Come on... help me here... We just need to get to the horses..." He tugged Alex up a few more stairs, reaching the top before sitting down, putting his head in his hands with a groan, trying to take a deep breath, though it sent massive pain through his side. Maybe he should have said no to going in the basement... "Get up," he said tiredly, getting to his feet slowly. IT's like, thirty more feet."

"Alright then, that's what I'll get then," she said, setting the menu down. She shrugged when told she had her mothers smile, brushing it off. "So... why'd you bring me here, if you're so obviously worried I'm going to get you in trouble?"

.....Alex had gotten to the top step and sat down next to Sterling to attempt to regain some of his energy, he grumbled tiredly and pulled himself to his feet when Sterling got up. Dizzily, he started to head to the front doors, taking more than twice as long as it had taken for them to navigate through the destroyed house when they'd first walked in. He stopped when they got to the doorway. "It's daylight... It's going to make me even weaker Sterling."

..... "The chocolate cake is to die for." Victoria grinned a little, then glanced at Rose doubting she'd buy that excuse. "And there was a trail of murders across London in the past week, the bartender is a friend of mine - I'm looking for information."
