You are a wild horse. Born and raised to run free. You have lived in your herd and followed the laws obediently. When you were two the stallion told you to leave. Of course you were reluctant and pinned your ears at the question. Your mother, your own blood chased you out for she was lead mare. Out of pain and misery you galloped away. Even in pain and sadness you are a magnificent animal and your charge along the plains makes you noticed to all who spot you. As a stallion, an enemy stallion's eyes watch you with viciousness. As a mare a stallion watches over you, waiting to take you in. You might even find love.

A harem, or band/herd, consists of one stallion and a few mares. There is only one stallion in a band, and any colts will be kicked out at two years old. The stallion mates with all the mares during the spring, when they're in heat. Next spring, one year later, they will give birth to one foal, rarely twins. A few days after giving birth they will go into heat again and sometimes a mare will be in heat for the first of summer.
A lone mare is a mare or female yearling that does not belong to a herd, but in the spring there will be very few of these, because stallions fight over mares constantly. Mares are like prized possessions or trophies to a stallion.
A bachelor is a stallion or male yearling that has not yet started a herd of his own. Bachelors will sometimes join together to steal mares from herds or will walk alone, occasionally harassing band stallions until they manage to get a mare of their own.
A band stallion is the one and only stallion in a herd. He steals mares from other bands and mates with all the mares in the spring. He is also the one responsible for protecting his herd against predators and rival stallions. If a band stallion dies, the mares may either split up or the stallion's eldest son may take over the herd.
A lead mare is a mare that is chosen by the lead stallion to lead the herd to watering holes, and also takes the lead when they migrate to the canyon/valley each year in the fall.
A foal is a baby horse of either gender from 0-12 months old.
A yearling is a horse of either gender from the ages 1-3 years. Colts are kicked out at the age of two, and fillies may either leave to find a herd of their own, or stay.
A stallion is a male horse over the age of three years and a mare is a female horse over the age of three years.
Courting is a more gentle way to bring a mare into a herd, or to tell them where to go if a stallion is moving the band to a new location. A stallion will nudge the mare in the direction he wants her to go.

The band stallion will lower his head and flatten his ears, galloping behind the mare, chasing her into his herd. If they take to snaking them as soon as they are in the herd the stallion will mate with the mare so she has no choice but to stay for the protection of the foal she now carries.
If a mare is stolen from another herd, she may sneak back to her old harem if the band stallion has his back turned.❋

Current Season:[Spring]
{X}Spring, foals are being born or mares are soon to drop them, this is a beautiful month with the green grass coming back and the forest turning green again, the snow is vanishing and the streams and rivers are as high as ever with the winter's snow and frost making them freezing, mares are in season now and stallions are snaking, courting, or fighting for them. Now is the time of plenty but beware the predators are hungry as well.
Summer, the last mares in season are being rounded up by the stallions or have managed to elude them and our most likely not going to end up with foal as the seasoned mares only last another day before they can no longer have foals. The season is warm, but the predators are getting bold since fall is just around the corner and they need more meat. However the horses are doing pretty good and the foals that had been born last spring are getting ready for there first winter.
Fall, the season of color everything is getting fall colors and the foals are mesmerized by the hypnotizing colors, the weather is getting colder and the predators are as vicious as ever trying to fatten up for winter just around the corner as it will surely be a cold one here, watch your back something is always lurking.
