Chaucer's thin lips molded into a frown. "Well, you should work on that, my dear," he said, his legs continuing to steer him in a circle around her. "Anger is not something that should decide whether or not you speak up for yourself. That emotion should be the last you act upon." The black and brown dog stopped suddenly, his bushy tail lifting as he looked at her. "Oh, now you really are angry," he said. His eyes had caught the fur lifting along her neck. He clicked his tongue, sounding disappointed. "If you really think you could win a fight against me, why don't you try?" he goaded. His own ruff was lifting, though he still displayed no anger in any other part of his body. "Just try it."
