Plot

Foxmoore Equestrian Centre is located in the east of England, and it has been open for almost 20 years, managed and run by a dedicated family ever since it opened. The riders that house their horses at Foxmoore, however, have a slight divide between them, as while some of them travel to the stable from the nearby town (which is only around a 15 minute walk away), other riders board at the stables, staying in one of the two boarding houses - sometimes just for the summer, other times they stay most of the year, going into the town when they need to, for school (if they have not yet left high school). While there hasn't been many major problems between the two groups, there is still usually at least a little bit of tension in the air, and sometimes when they enter competitions - even on the same team for Foxmoore - they have a competition between them to see which group can win the most ribbons, trophies and prizes.

However, things are about to change for everyone. Foxmoore, whether the riders have already noticed this or not, has started to have financial troubles. They don't want to push up prices and costs, but they've started losing money - and quite quickly. Eventually, the owners get all of the riders together for a meeting. They tell them that unless they are able to raise another £50,000 by the end of the month, then they'll have to shut down and sell off the Equestrian Centre and land - they already have a couple of prospective, eager buyers that are set to buy the land and develop on it, so they do not have any more time after that. They also recommend that the riders should start looking for a new place to move their horses - and themselves - to, because they doubt they'll be able to raise the money on time, and with that, they leave the riders. Is it time for them to put aside their rivalry? Is is possible for them to band together, to save Foxmoore? Or will they agree to leave and go their separate ways? Perhaps the 5-day competition coming up - which has several events, all with rather decent cash prizes - could possibly help them out...

Layout
As you walk onto the main yard after going through the entrance gate, there is a small office directly to your right, and then you almost immediately arrive at the stables (of which there's 25 stalls), which all surround an outdoor lunging paddock. Walking around the back of the smallest stable building will take you to a sheltered area that has four large, open stalls for people to groom and tack their horses up, so that they don't have to do it in the horse's stable. This area also has two doors, one of which leads to the tack room, and the other one to the feed room. Walking through the brick building (which is more of a tunnel), and down the path, you come across the main riding arena, which is usually split into three sections (two without any equipment, and one section with a series of different jumps set up). There is also an indoor arena. Off to one side of the arena is a small cabin, and some chairs, for relaxation, and to get something to eat/drink, if desired. Additionally, there's a trail ride that goes through a forest, and next to a river, and there is also a cross country course nearby, which has - among other obstacles - log jumps, a water jump, and a hedge jump. There's also several large paddocks, for horses to be turned out into, with usually two or three horses that get along together in each one.

Situated a 5-10 minute walk away from the stables, are the boarding houses, each of which can have up to five people living in them, each with their own bedroom. Each house also has a large kitchen, three bathrooms, a decent-sized living area with a TV, and a laundry room.

Foxmoore Rules (These cannot be broken)
- Suitable riding hats must be worn at all times when riding and lunging, or helping in the indoor or outdoor arenas - no exceptions.
- You must keep your stable and surrounding areas clean at all times.
- Riders under 17 must be accompanied by an adult while riding, and must also wear a helmet in the yard as well.
- Lock the tack room after leaving it.
- Ensure your horses are given their morning feed by 8am, and evening feed between 7-8pm. No riding after 7pm or before 10am.
- No running, shouting or any other sudden noises/movements anywhere on the yard or around the horses.
- Care for only your own horse(s), unless you have been given permission by the other horse's owner AND the stable owners.

You may have up to two human characters, and up to three horses (in total), with no more than two horses per human character. You cannot just be a horse, and all horses have to be owned by someone. Horses may specialise in one discipline, and have a ranking of the following (from lowest to highest): Beginner -> Novice -> Intermediate -> Advanced -> Elite.
I will only allow for a handful of horses to be ranked 'Elite', limited to one per roleplayer, and all other horses that the roleplayer has must be below Intermediate level. This is because this is more about training and improving, rather than having everyone already professionals (and they're all teenagers/young adults anyway). PM me if you'd like to have a horse that's ranked as 'Elite'.

It is mid-afternoon, on a warm Saturday. At present, the riders have not yet been told the news about the future of the stables - but a meeting will be called at one of the boarding houses within a couple of hours.

Logan hummed under his breath, as he exercised Jetstar. He didn't often just go out into the arena - one of the flat sections, with no equipment - to simply exercise either of his horses, but this time, he figured that the mare would appreciate a change in routine for once. Dressage training was not always easy - especially if your horse tended to get moody. And it was just a bit more relaxing at this point as well, considering he was currently alone. Logan upped Jetstar's gait from a walk to a sitting trot after a bit. Even though he wasn't working on Dressage training with Jetstar, he was still constantly, keeping good check of his seat and position anyway - after all, it was key in Dressage tests.

Farhan brushed down Goldrush, having recently returned from the riding arena to do an hour of showjumping training. He smiled, amused, as the mare had closed her eyes, content with the warm sun on her back, and Farhan brushing her. After he was finished, he led Goldrush back into her stable, and he made sure to lock it as he left it. "I'll be back in a moment," he said to the Palomino, then he packed up his grooming kit, and carried it back to the tack room, where he put it on a shelf that also had a sketchbook on it. He took the sketchbook - and a pencil - and he took that back to Goldrush's stable. He leaned with his back against the door, and Goldrush curiously rested her head on his shoulder, while Farhan opened the sketchbook, and he started drawing.

Jamison unlocked the door to the tack room. She walked in, grabbed a large leather saddle with flowers engraved on it along with a green red and blue striped saddle pad. She reached for a brown bridle next. Jamison went on her toes to reach the bridle it was on a hook on the right side of the tack room with a small post it note attached that said

She grabbed it and walked out making sure to lock the room behind her. Jamison sighed and walked down the isle passing stall after stall of winning horses. She stopped and turned to her left were a chestnut colored horse stood. The horse whinnied towards Jamison. She put her hand up and stroked the side of the horses neck as far as she could reach.
"Hey big guy!" Jamison said as she set the saddle and other items on the ground next to the stall. She finished petting the horse and sighed reaching to the side of the stall were a lead and halter hung from a hook. She pulled them down and stroked the horse once again. She had gotten there earlier that day and already fed her horses Red Heart and Midnight Angel now she was preparing to go on a ride with Red. She grabbed a brush and set it on the saddle she was going to brush Red before they went on a ride. She didn't notice the other person already grooming their horse on the other end of the hallway.

Cursing as the chestnut bucked, trying to pull the lunge line out of her hands Aisling planted her feet. Watching as her temperamental stallion gave one more mid-air buck, she gave a crack of the lunge whip. Snorting Donas stopped and looked at her, like he hadn't just thrown a fit. Aisling had to lunge Donas before she rode him, otherwise he took total advantage of her. Noticing Logan, she hoped he didn't think she was useless and not able to control her horse. He was a local rider, and, as far as she knew, they hated the boarders.

Giving the lunge whip another crack, Aisling got the stallion moving forward. She hoped to be able to hack him out later on, after a good schooling session. Snorting, Donas squealed as he moved into a canter.

Sakurako stood by her Westphalian gelding. The bay horse pulled at his haynet, paying no attention to his owner. Laughing quietly, she began to undo his stable rug and pull it off of him.

He'd been off for a week, having come up lame. There wasn't any apparent cause, but the vet was coming back out to see him today. Hanging the rug up, Sakurako looked at her horse. She was proud of the gelding and what they had achieved. She hoped he would be okay to compete in the next couple of weeks.

Caspian paused a moment, pulling Roulette to a stop, watching Aisling lunge her horse. He didn't like riding near a lunger, the whip sometimes spooked Roulette, but he needed to train and the jumping area wasn't too close to Aisling. So he just quietly walked by and towards his section. As he passed Logan, he gave a small wave. Then he opened the gate to the jumping section and led his horse inside. When she saw the fences, Roulette's ears perked and she swished her tail. Caspian patted her neck and then mounted. Keeping a semi-tight grip on the reins, he turned her towards the side of the ring and began walking her around.
After a couple laps around, he gave a small signal and pushed her into a trot and he began posting, keeping a slow pace as Roulette tried to lunge forward into a canter, excited to jump. "Easy, girl." Caspian had planned on only a couple laps around the ring before he would begin his jumping, but she was a little two eager and he circled extra times. "Okay, let's go." He said with a laugh, signaling for her to go into a canter. Roulette tossed her head as they did one circle around and then headed towards the first fence. Raising in his seat, Caspian grinned as they passed over the first jump with ease.

Clicking her tongue, Reinette entered the paddock Abe was grazing in. The black gelding raised his head and, with a snort, walked slowly over to his owner. "Come on slow poke." She said jokingly at the slow horse and patted his cheek as he finally reached her. Clipping on the lead rope, Reinette led him out of the field and towards the stable close by.
Inside, she saw a few of the other riders but didn't approach any of them. She tied Abraham up in one of the open tack stall and went to the tack room to retrieve her stuff. It was a nice day outside and she wanted to go on a short trail ride. It had been awhile since she took her Morgan out on the trails, they had been using most of their time training on barrel racing and reining work. Abe was doing well with the barrels, but his reining needed a lot of work. His trail work was also rusty and today was a perfect day to work on that. With a huff, Reinette pulled down her heavy western saddled and grabbed his bridle before returning to her horse to begin grooming and tacking him.
