pet rarity?

Hi! I've been wanting to group my pets by their rarity and I was kinda confused with it at first. If I have an old pet, will the rarity ever change? I'm just worried I'll group them all and it'll change w/o me knowing. Does rarity for certain pets change over time? Should I group all my old pets by rarity and not the newer ones? Help appreciated!

I don't think that the rarity can change.. Correct me if wrong but I think when it gets it's rarity, it stays that way..

Rarity does change. for example, the 2018 dog (from the new year) was common, but it became Uncommon. and the Griffen staff pets are rares, but will probably become Very Rares.

Rarity changes, but not for every pet and not extremely frequently, so you should be okay to group them by rarity. You may just need to move the odd one occasionally.

Rarity depends on number of pets and active accounts with certain pets signed to them. So it does change.

I've seen chicken smoothie change rarity's before. For example, the UR lion of 2011 from christmas was omg so rare and now he is only very rare.

Rarity updates have happened before, but they announce that they're going to do it, what kind of pet they're targeting, and the reasoning behind the rarity change
but i think it's only happened once or twice before, so its very uncommon for the staff to do

Rarity updates happen whenever rarities are updated. Usually this is once a month but can be up to three months to get new rarities.
So if you're comfortable with sorting all of your pets every month, go for it? Check out this thread for this month's rarity shifts.
