a twenty-first pet is a term referring to a pet adopted on december 24, 2011. it was essentially a second december 18th. c:

They're exactly the same as December 18th pets (rereleased pets that have the same value as the truedates) except that in 2011 the rerelease happened twice, and the second one was on December 24th. When people talk about 18th rereleases, they're usually including these rereleases as an unspoken convention. Here's an example of one adopted on that day of mine:
