How can I tell if a pet is a staff pet?

I've been hearing a lot about staff pets and obtaining them, but I have no clue how to tell a staff pet from a regular one. Anyone have any advice?

Staff pets all use the same palette so any pets with these colors is a staff pet. You can look them up yourself by looking in the archive and filtering Dog. Look in November for years 2009-2012 and September for years 2013-1017

pretty much adding to what Shian said, most of the time, but not always, staff pets tend to have line edits :) they often look super unique as well!
