Character shop

I want to create a character shop, but I'm not sure I should use the character trade board. What I'm going to do is have my customers fill out a simple form- a picture for inspiration, any details they want included, and method of payment. (Note- the picture for inspiration is supposed to be an image of something such as a colorful fruit to give me an idea of the palette they want. I am not in any way going to copy art from an image.)

Example of what filled out form would look like:

Inspiration:

Details: I would like it to be an aquatic species, and have some geometric designs scattered on its face
Payment: C$

What I would do is take the information they give me and create a character ref sheet based on the inspiration/details they would like. Am I allowed to do this? If so, what board should I place it in and what should I title it?

Hi. Yes! This is perfectly fine! I’ve seen many users do something like this before.
If you’re planning to do this, I’d recommend posting it on the General Art Shop forum and titling it as a custom art shop or somewhat like that (sorry I can’t link you to the forum, I’m on a phone right now ^^)

I second what mental. said, it would be better to put it on the General
Art Shop forum as the Character Design forum is mainly only for trading/buying
characters that are already pre made.
