Making Avatars

Hello!
I was thinking of offering my services to make avatars for users based off of their favourite pets. Something with the original pet in it, customised for whatever the user wants specifically.
My questions about this are:
Can I do this?
What rules should I include on behalf of Chicken Smoothie?
How do I go about crediting the original artists? Do I just credit chickensmoothie.com?
Can I accept payment in the form of pets for this?
If not, can I create an art shop for this without accepting any payment?

1st Question:

As long as you aren't editing the pet's design in any way, or adding items to the pet that were not on it originally, that's fine, yeah!

2nd Question:

I guess just the usual don't claim this as your own art/character, don't edit the avatar, etc.

3rd Question:

I think just crediting CS with a link back to here should be fine (That is, if you ever plan on taking this offsite).

4th Question:

I don't think so, but I could be wrong. Somewhere in the CS rules it says not to make any sort of profit off CS's designs, but that could mean in adoptable form, or in all forms. You'll have to get a second opinion on this one ^^"

5th Question:

Yep, I'm positive you can still make an art thread for it, just no payment (afaik)!

I have seen people accepting payment for things like this before, and I have done so myself. I don't believe it's against the rules! ^^

Yes, you can accept payment for making icons with pets as long as you're following the rules regarding CS designs! (:

You can edit the images in the form of cropping it or making a banner with it, as long as you make sure that people know it's a pet from CS.
