Would I be able to use the forums as a host for a pokemon auction(?)
It will not involve trading pokemon for CS items/pets etc, it will only involve offering on a Pokemon with other Pokemon
I only need to use the forums for people to notice it

Most likely no.

If the trade has nothing to do with CS pets and otherwise, there is no reason why CS should host something that it has nothing to do with. Chances are it may be classed as spam. I recommend using Pokemon based websites which allow you to host auctions for Pokemon for other Pokemon instead.

You can advertise in your signature and trade rules, but as Zetirian said, if it has nothing to do with CS it doesn't belong here.
