The Difference Between Dogs and Wolves?

I have always been horrible at telling the difference between the two species on here and was wondering if someone could finally tell me how to determine which species is which. Thank you ahead of time for anyone that answers or even clicks on this thread!

Wolves have a very different lineart. I believe the only wolf is the malk wolf, seen here:


And dogs are the typical lineart you see a lot.

I don't believe so since the adoption page has a "Dogs + Wolves" button. If the only wolves were Malk, it wouldn't make sense that the staff never changed that button to be more honest as he has been a retired artist for some time now.

People tend to call the regular lineart both, dogs and wolves. It is more of a personal preference on what they wish to call them, there is no true difference though, the lineart is 100% the same.

• I've also seen some users use the term dog to describe dogs with dog-like-ears/tails and wolves to describe dogs with wolf-like-ears. The base lingheart still is the same though, as the malk wolves are the only actual wolves.

Malk pets are no longer being made, I think, which is why wolves aren't for adopting anymore
This is also why malk pets have higher demand
