okay, what's the deal with this?

sometimes i can make multiple posts in quick succession and then other times i have to wait ~30 seconds. it also doesn't appear to be that it kicks n after a few posts because it was my first post that i had to wait the longest for and then others were hit and miss.

i understand why it's there but it's painfully inconsistent.

what's the actual timeout?

xxxxx□Everyone needs to have their first post approved by a moderator, which can take a couple of days. After that, the wait time is to prevent spam, likely by bots or the like. I've never had to wait for more than a few seconds between posting

The time is somewhere between 5-10 seconds, depending on activity mine lags a little sometimes, but its never more than that. But yes - its to prevent spam, and I agree it is quite frustrating at times (especially if you go from thread to thread like me.)

Since this is relevant to the topic, I wanted to ask:
Why does it count trades as posts? I've found that after accepting or canceling a trade, if I try to made a post right after, it says that I have to wait. Which doesn't make sense to me, because trades /=/ posts.

Because there is a message option with trades. Its like PMs - if you can type any sort of message to "send" along with it, it counts as something you "post" but it doesnt affect your post count.
Does that make sense?
