Sorry, but my chameleon died today and I just really don't want to do chameleons anymore... I miss her, and I'm just too busy with work and life in general to keep up with this. :/ Thank you, everyone, for coming to visit and looking around. I hope you enjoyed my chameleons.

What's up for adoption here? Why, chameleons, of course! We have a wide variety of veiled chameleons from all over the globe, sold here in our lovely pet store, Chamelot. It's clever, because Camelot is... nevermind.

Each batch of chameleons contains a range of unique creatures that all need a loving home; if you snatch one in time, you can put it in your Signature and show it off to all of your friends!

Please take the time to look through the archives at past pets, check through the news for important updates, and look for games and ways to win amazing prizes! :3

- Don't steal any of the designs on the thread. All of these pictures belong to me, and if you try to steal them and claim them as your own, I shall eat your face. D:<

- Don't spam. Spam is when you post one letter, one word, or unrelated comments on the thread. It gets annoying and makes me have to scold you, and I don't wanna do that. I luff you. :P

- Don't ask when the next litter is coming out. Unfortunately, my life has gotten quite hectic, so batches may be sporadic in both size and frequency; however, there will always be a chameleon for major holidays, so watch out for those!

- Don't ask to be an artist or a mod. If and when I need an extra hand around here, I'll put something up in the news section (here) letting you all know.

- Fill out the forms and don't complain if you don't get the chameleon you want. There will always be other chameleons, so just be patient and be excited for everyone else. Sportsmanship and whatnot! XD

- Do not modify the form once you've posted it! If you modify the form to adopt a chameleon or take part in a competition then you automatically forfeit and the chameleon is up for grabs. You may, however, post again with the correct form, but you may not post twice in a row; let someone post between your posts. Just remember that it's a first-come first-serve adoption center.

- Please put your chameleon in your Signature. I expect you to take care of these babies, and putting them in your Signature allows them to get that fresh air and Vitamin D that chameleons need to survive! :D

Monday, April 2 ♥ I'm in the final stages of choosing artists; I will be taking last minute applicants, but if they're not in within the next 24 hours, they will be rejected. I've procrastinated on this much too long; everyone who's been contacted for the artist position recently needs to respond quickly with a yay or nay about whether or not they can still participate. Thank you, everyone! There will be a batch within the next two days. :3

Wednesday, February 8 ♥ Hey, everybody! Long time no see! I'm so happy to be back! If you check my most recent post (page 33), you'll see what my new plan for Chamelot Adoptables is. Thank you to everyone who's been so patiently waiting for my return, and I hope to see you all here on Valentine's Day!

Also, please note that I am looking for artists again! Unfortunately, the artists from last time got busy with their lives, too, and very few batches were able to be made. If they want to re-audition for an artist position, they may, but for now, we need artists! I'll actually be accepting a large amount of artists, but only if a large amount apply. If you have any friends interested in being an artist, tell them to come here. It's NOT a very trying a strict job. Here's what you need:

♥ a minimum of one chameleon contributed every other month
♥ the ability to have transparent backgrounds and multiple layers
♥ the ability to color inside the lines (it's a serious problem D:)
♥ the love of chameleons and / or art
♥ lots of creativity!

If you or a friend are interested, just PM me with the word "Chamelot" somewhere in the title of the message. I'll check whenever I can.

To apply, just color in this chameleon lineart with the theme of love and send it to me. I'm looking forward to seeing the entries!

A new batch of chameleons will be available every so often, and any number of chameleons will be put up - there will always be a batch on major holidays! Next up is Valentine's Day, so pop in on February 14th!

It's first-come first-serve; be careful that you fill out the form properly or else you forfeit your chameleon to the next person to post for it. Every batch has a key word that you need to fill in, so don't forget it. You're not allowed to edit the form once you post it.

Customs have been long awaited here at Chamelot Adoptables, and why not? Chameleons can be all sorts of colors and wear all sorts of snazzy decorations, so here they are, finally! I figure that I'll be taking up to ten custom requests at a time, so be patient and wait for your turn! :3

"What can I get on my chameleon?"

We have an amazingly wide variety of items... well, I actually have to create more items, so just be patient. For now, you can get one of (or a combination of) these items (click it for a preview):

Hats - tophat, mario hat, knit hat
Eyewear - goggles, goggles up on head. monocle
Neckwear - scarf. dogtag, collar
Wings - angel wings, bat / demon wings, bone wings, butterfly wings
Lineart - horned chameleon, chameleon pair

Not only can I do these things, but I can also add pretty much any accessory you'd like, so long as I have a reference to work off of. ^^

"How much does it cost?"

Custom chameleons are now officially free! It's too much of a hassle to keep track of costs and stuff.

"How do I order a custom chameleon?"

"How many chameleons am I allowed to adopt?"

I have no limit, actually. Eventually I'll put a cap on (like if I notice the old customers are preventing the acceptance of new customers), but for now, the only limit is that you can take one from each batch.

"Can I take my chameleon off of CS?"

Of course you can. Just don't claim the art as your own, modify where the link on the chameleon leads to, or modify the art in any way. Credit me and respect my baby chameleons and you'll be fine.

"Did you draw these yourself?"

Unfortunately, no, I'm not that good. I traced around pictures of my own chameleon, Furcifer, and then colored according to my every whim. You can check my DeviantArt to see the original images.

"Can I be a guest artist?"

I'm currently looking for artists! I'd prefer if you found me, but if I notice that you run your own adoptables or are an artist in an adoptables thread and I like what I see, I'll ask if you'd be interested in making a guest batch or being an actual artist, but you can not ask me.

"How do I get my site into your links section?"

It's actually quite simple; just PM me with a link to your site and / or a banner for your site and I'll put it into the links section. I have to be able to find our stamp / affiliation banner up on your site.

"Can I make fan art?"

I'd love if you did! I may display any fan art in the Rules & About section - or I may changes the Games section into a fanart section.

"Does the pink chameleon in the title of each section have a name?"

Not really. For all intents and purposes, I shall name it after my own veiled chameleon, Furcifer.

"How can you have an FAQ if nobody's asked questions yet?"

... It's the magic of chameleons. XD

"What do chameleons eat?"

Generally, chameleons eat a variety of insects (flies, fruit flies, waxworms, mealworms, crickets, grasshoppers) and vegetables such as mustard and collard greens. I've been told that they eat fruit, but I haven't found a fruit that my chameleon likes yet.

"What sort of habitat does a chameleon live in?"

In order to keep a chameleon happy and fulfill its lifetime needs, they need a high humidity cage (they're a tropical animal), several different heat sources (a UVB light helps keep them from getting bone diseases), and lots of foliage and things to climb on and hide in. They're shy.
