Hello! Welcome to Piscis Emporium! We have an array of spectacularly
small fish that need homes, as we can't seem to get them to stop multiplying!
Right now we have bettas, guppies, ranchus, and mini ranchus.

-Do not steal aquariums that are not yours, or that you did not pay for yourself.
-Currency isn't exchangeable, but if you want to gift another user currency state that in the trade and the fish food will go to their bank.
-Tanks aren't tradeable, once you'd paid for something, it's yours.
-When you place an order, it won't be accepted until you have enough ff in your bank to complete it.
-don't duplicate wishlist pets more than twice!
-don't remove the link around your fish's image.
-do not give me more than 10 OMGsc, 10 very commons, 10 commons, 5 uncommons, 4 rares, or 3 VRs at a time. This is to control bank and pet flow.
-we strongly discourage breeding, but if you absolutely feel attached to your fish you can breed them for one outcome fish that you can sell back to the community or keep for yourself. You have to pay for the habitat in order to keep it, though.
-If I missed something in your order please let me know so your order can be changed, or so you can be reimbursed the money that you payed.

Selling fish
This option allows you to resell fish and tank in one piece. An ad will be posted below advertising the tank you are selling with the price, whether or not the sale is final, and the date that the sale ends. The sale will not go on for longer than thirty days, at which point you can choose to scrap the entire tank for half the price that's it's valued at, or keep it. You cannot ask for a tank back once you sell it. The only way to get it back is if the person who bought it offers to return it or allow you to buy it back.

Once you buy a tank from someone, you can do whatever you please with it. If they ask for it back, you are under no obligation to return it.

Buying a tank is as easy as sending in a form to the owner of the fish, and getting a permission quote or screenshot that states that the fish is yours. Then, send the permission quote to me so that I can transfer the FF to the correct person, and change the ownership of the fish.




Breeding fish
To breed two fish that are yours, they must be opposite genders, and the same species. With bettas, you can expect 1-2 fry from one breeding. It's uncommon to see 1 fry, and uncommon to see 3 or more. To send in a breeding costs 40FF, which is the cost of enough live brine shrimp to get your fry to adulthood.
If you're breeding your betta to another person's betta, you can split the cost, or pay for it all yourself. That negotiation is up to you and the other person.
If you want to increase the number of fry that comes out of one breeding, you can buy Daphnia for 20FF, this boosts the immune systems for the bettas, and gives you a 50/50 chance of producing 3-5 betta fry when fed to the fish before breeding, instead of the usual 1-2. It is worth mentioning that with Daphnia the breeding will always produce 3 or more fry.

Once the fry is born, you won't really know what color they are until they reach adulthood. We can give you an estimation on what the colors could look like until then. You can choose to sell the fry, keep it, or gift it to someone.
All fry come in a small bowl with sand substrate.

Females can only be bred twice, males can be bred indefinitely.

Fry have a random chance of finding objects from their parents.

If I buy a Betta with a default free colour, will I be able to change it to a different colour later?
I've been thinking about changing genes, as this would let people save ff later to "upgrade" old fish. You wouldn't be allowed to change the base color, but maybe adding a modifier could be possible in the future [like butterfly, marbling, bicolored, etc]
However, if you are allowed to breed fish in the future, this would only affect offspring that is born after the gene change.

Can you have multiple male betta's in the same cage?
No, male bettas will fight to the death if they're put in the same tank. Even if you split the tank, there's still a chance that they could break the divider, or get very stressed out. It's best to keep them separate if possible.

After buying a fish, can I change / replace it with a fish of a different gender?
I could make an option to change the gender of the fish, but it would be a one time thing per fish. If you want to be able to move fish from tank to tank, I could make that an option also c:


If I click large bowl and want 2 fish, it only lets me pick one, so i have to send in another form to get multiple fish?
Large bowls are awfully small for two fish, so at the time being only certain tanks allow multiple fish. I can see about changing this so that large bowls can house two fish, but it would be a little squished in there.


Why can I only pick 3 colors for multicolor?
Bettas are never more than three colors at a time, so you can only pick 3 colors.
