[Prince of Light]

A Tauraleum is a cross between two majestic beasts, a bull and a lion. While these creatures may look fierce, they are no bigger than your average housecat and are actually quite affectionate.

Tauraleum is usually refered to as a Herd or a Pride. A Pride/Herd usually consists of one or two male leaders and the remaining of the herd being the females and their young. Males will be very territorial. However, once a Tauraleum is trained and tamed, they will abandon herd/pride life and will often settle down, as a mating pair.

The females have been either won from a battle between males over her, during mating/rutting season, or have been evicted or something from their original herd once they have grown. All grown offspring venture from their herd to find or start another one. They don't stick around to mate with their siblings.

A set of young are considered a litter. A baby is called a cub. When a litter is born, it is very difficult to tell the young apart. The only difference between the two at this age is the small tuft of fur on the top of the male's head. Both males and females have small nubs for horns at this age.

What is FCS? FCS is Forever Cub Syndrome. If you have a cub with this condition, it will stay as a cub forever, allowing you to enjoy it's adorableness for it's lifetime! These guys are extremely rare and unable to breed.

The most common mutation of these creatures are their front halves resembling bulls, and their back legs and tails resembling that of lions. In general, Males often have large sets of horns and big fluffy manes like that of lions. Females have a shorter mane and smaller sets of horns. It is very rare to find a Tauraleum without a set of horns.

There is a rumored mutation of Tauraleums being the opposite of what they appear. We have classified them as Leotaurums, and these creatures have the front half of lions and the back half of bulls. However, we have not yet seen this rumored mutation. Maybe you'd be so lucky to see one?

You can help us discover more mutations of this species by adopting some and taking care of them. This will allow us to watch out for more without worrying about some of these beasts escaping. This will also give us the chance to document more about these species.

to test that you are worthy of keeping such a remarkable creature.
These creatures will be first come, first serve. No exceptions.
Codes must also be case sensitive and correct.

If there are two or more litters up, you are allowed to take one from each. But only one.

If two or more litters get put up within the same day, you are only allowed to adopt one from one of the litters. No double dipping!

If you have won a Tauraleum, you can either wait for a code drop, or you can pick up your codes at the Co-op Archive!
It is a Co-op Archive, so you will be in-charge of keeping your Tauraleum well-documented!

Pawprints are more difficult to obtain and are used for potions of all sorts.

We apply all of these items by hand, no copy and paste involved. So please keep in mind we need our sanity!

Hoofprint Mercado

This is an Aura that can be applied to your Tauraleum!
It is available for all variants of Tauraleum (even Leotaurum), either gender.
Aura is applied to the outer edge of the body and the eyes.
If your Tauraleum is transparent around the edge, the aura will also show up inside! (example)
It also comes in a variety of colors.
When ordering, state what color you would like.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Why is your breeding system so complex and set up the way it is?
Simply because: having babies is never something to take lightly.
There are many trials you'd have to go through in order to breed your Tauraleum with someone elses, and it is supposed to be a tough set of decisions. We have hard working artists who are producing new life for the sake of your Tauraleums being parents! That is a big deal!

But I see a bunch of holes in it. Like, anyone can get by these rules! Why even bother?
There are always ways of getting around our rules. WE KNOW THAT. But you still need to go through the process of trading (which is not a feature we have yet). And still making decisions that are important. Its not the fact that they are easy to get around. Its the fact you need to figure it out as well.

How come you guys don't have trading yet?
We are still trying to meet demands of making new litters and running the Breeding Center.
Trading will not be a feature that is up immediately.
I know. It sucks to wait. But we all have to.

Why Tauraleums? Why not horses or kittens or blah blah blah?
I came up with Tauraleums while I was trying to fall asleep.
It was something different, unique, and I wanted to do something with them.
You can get a horse or a kitten at any other single pet shop here, and probably drawn a heck of a lot better than what we can do. If you are looking for a kitten or a horse, please. Visit the experts. We are here for the creativity of a new species.

I want a [litter/herd/item] that looks like this. Can you do it?
Good for you and most likely yes. But will we? Who knows.
We may even make Customs eventually. But most likely not.

Boo hoo, I didn't get the Tauraleum I wanted!
If you didn't get the Tauraleum you wanted, there was probably a reason for it.
Either you did not get it because you posted for it after it was taken, you didn't follow our rules, you edited our form to the point it was unrecognizable, or you didn't put the right information in for what the Tauraleums required.
Once we enable trading into our system, there might be a chance you can ask for a trade with the other person who won it, and maybe, just maybe they would be kind enough to trade with you.
But please, to avoid this instance from happening, read the rules and reply responsibly.
