Book 1- Abyss and Moonstone meet the nerds
Abyss ducked his head under the entrance arch that followed into the next room, behind him, Moonstone followed. The two stopped at a vast science lab, things bubbling all over the place. "Hello?" Moonstone hollered, stopping next to Abyss. Suddenly, a dragon's head popped up.
"Otter!" She yelped, pulling another dragon up with her by the ear. "There here!"
A blue Imperial stumbled up, pulling himself away from the white Imperial's grasp. "Ya, ya I see, I see," He said, shaking his head to orientate himself. The blue dragons hopped up and ran up to Abyss and Moonstone. "Hello, I'm Otter, that's Nightmoon over there." He said, flicking his tail at Moonstone.
The white and black dragon waved a talon. "Hello!" She said, stumbling over to Otter. "Its very nice to meet new dragons, because we don't get to go meet new people that often, and you know, It's fun making new friends!" She said, energetically.
Abyss and Moonstone exchanged looks before Moonstone introduced themselves. "I'm Moonstone and this is Abyss. Don't mind him, he doesn't talk much." She said, bumping Abyss's side. "He's grumpy. All. The. Time." She said, wrapping one wing around him to pull him closer.
Abyss struggled out of Moonstone's wings, backing away a few feet. "I am not!" He protested. "I'm just a dragon with respect for myself and my personal bubble." He said, lifting his chin, his long whiskers lifting off the ground slightly.
"I think that's what we call grumpy," Nightmoon pointed out. Abyss just gave her an unamused look.

*Nightshade sits by Abyss on a log*
Nightshade: I hope this won't sound impolite
Or come across as too forthright
But, even though you seem alright, I...
Think I'm better than you!
*Nightshade gets up to circle Abyss a few times*
Nightshade: Now please do keep this thought in mind
That's just my personal conviction
You're smart and fun
You're sweet and kind
I'd call our friendship an addiction
*Nightshade turns to wrap his head behind Abyss's neck*
Nightshade: Your shoes are shined, your breath dulce
But still I find I have to say I
Think I might be better than you!
*Abyss gets up and pushes Nightshade away with one wing*
Abyss: You seem impressed with what you've shown
But I don't find it that compelling
You've sung my praise, but not your own
And well, I think that's pretty telling
*Abyss gets eye to eye with Nightshade*
Abyss: But while we're on the subject of
How I'm superb and leagues above
You
Ought to know I'm number one!
I know that might be hard to swallow
(La La La La!)
This hurts you just as much as me
(Oooh...)
But when this song is sung then you and I'll know
That you're just a nobody!
Nightshade: Well, friend I don't know what to say
Abyss: Try starting with your resignation
Nightshade: Lets end this in the finale
Abyss: I'm dying in anticipation
*Abyss and Nightshade at the same time*
Nightshade: You're really great, but let me state
You denigrate and seem to hate
The fact I'll break you, abdicate
Before I can asphyxiate, I

Abyss: You've been outdone
Now I've really won
But it was fun
Your end's begun, and...
Now I know I'm better than you!
And I'll prove it to you too!
So watch as I identify
The skill to show I qualify
Like keeping up this camp charade
And tricking kids to drink kool-aid to sacrifice them-
