"I am not a little girl." Lillian cried out to her mother, the small child was only 7 years of age and her golden locks flow neatly on her shoulders. "I don't feel like a girl..". Her mother looked at her young child feeling a bit heartbroken and was unsure what to say or to do to help her own child. "But sweetie, you where born as a girl." Lillian's mother stood up and went over to comfort her own child who was currently sat on the dark blue shaggy rug with her head in her knees. The young mother sat next to her only child, trying to understand and connect why she is feeling this way. "I want to be a boy mummy" the young girl wailed with snot running down her nose.
The mother came off the phone with the local doctor who had advise her to take her child Lillian to see him so he can see what he can do to help. She let Lillian wear her jeans and jumper which always made her much happier then dresses, if it made her child happy that is all that matters to her. They both got into the car Lillian in the front passenger seat and herself driving. The began to drive their way to see Doctor McKenzie.
After they arrived they waited in the waiting room which was a very calming blue colour and was kept quite clean. Lillian and her mother awaited to be called out by the doctor. She watched as her child was observing the room looking slightly nervous but content,
she gave a soft smile of her child happiness. The doctors called them both in and began to talk about Lillian's issues in hope that the doctor would be able to help.A while later the doctor advise her mother that she would need to start off seeing a counsellor making sure that her child really wants to transition and when she is old enough he will be able to prescribe her child with testosterone but for now what she can do as a mother is allow her child find her identity and let her child become who they want to become.
It was Kyles 17th birthday, he walked down the stairs to his mother with a birthday cake saying happy birthday. Its been a year since being on testosterone which has helped him so much mentally that he can become a man that he wanted to be. Kyle thanked his mum for the cake and began to head out ready to meet his friends. He took a deep breath of fresh air and said to himself "I'm not a little boy anymore"
