probably the most significant part of sephtis's life is the fact that he's a professional hitman. as to be expected, most would find this choice of career repulsive and criminal, and so he keeps it a well-kept secret among those he knows outside of a criminal circle. it's a line of work that he's highly skilled at, and he finds it profitable and at times enjoyable. he gets a thrill out of the adrenaline kick he receives during an incredibly complex or difficult hit, which pushes him to achieve success even more willingly. more often than not, he feels no remorse or any kind of sympathy towards those he kills. he's also efficient at accurately researching his targets, and obeying every tiny whim that the person employing him desires. he is known for doing his job and doing it well. as of this point, he has never failed a mission the first time around, giving him a desirable portfolio. 100% first-time kill. 100% effectiveness.

part of sephtis's success is due to the fact that he was born into this lifestyle. his mother was a professional hitman, an occupation which his father was completely unaware of. she hid under the guise of being a stay-at-home mom, but when his father was abroad on business trips for his own jobs, sephtis's mother would take on hit jobs and bring young sephtis himself along, teaching him on everything there was to know, mainly as a defense mechanism against the world he would eventually face as he grew older. she loved her child deeply. his first kill was during a hit gone wrong. the target had been anticipating his mother, had somehow caught scent of her plan - most likely because of one of his mother's friends actually turning out to be a rat. either way, the target was ready. his mother was killed, and in a blind fit of shock and rage, he killed the target himself. it was the last time he felt anything. he never went back home. how could he face his father and this new, crumbling reality?

more than anything else, sephtis has an overarching apathy towards the world around him and those in it. he couldn't care any less about what happens to other people - whether it's a minor inconvenience to them or the end of their life. although certainly not mute, when in a neutral or even good mood he tends to be silent, and it's rare for others to hear his low, gravelly voice at all. he's someone that's hard to frazzle or faze due to his apathy and his gruesome work. however, if he is shocked or his patience wears thin, he's quick to anger. although he has enough common sense to refrain from physically lashing out, he yells and scares the one who made him angry almost to death. because of his natural aura and eerily calm demeanor, many find him to be intimidating and will steer clear of him if possible. although he doesn't care much about himself, he cares even less about others, making him rather narcissistic. he does not form true connections with others, only manufacturing the idea of a relationship for appearances. he grows incredibly bored quickly if not put in a tense and dangerous situation, and does not hide his disinterest. many medical professionals have said that he is on the lower range of a psychopathic personality, but he doesn't find this to be an issue.

► sephtis really loves milk. he gets incredibly offended if someone claims that they don't like milk, or that they think it doesn't taste good. the kind of milk doesn't matter, he just craves milk nearly twenty-four hours a day. his fridge is filled with basically nothing but gallons of milk. in an average day, he drinks at least an entire gallon of milk. if he's carrying a bottle of something, it's not water - it's milk.

► he has a bay window in his home, which gets a nice amount of sunlight. in that window, he has a large collection of succulents and cacti. he has an amazing variety of them - he has a "desert gem" cactus, many kinds of now large echeveria, a large, spiked blue agave, and many kinds of fuzzy as well as smooth kalanchoe. they grow and bloom wonderfully, and they're the best kind of plant for him because if he loses interest in them for a while they're fine without being watered for days.
