➶ Closer...just a little farther. Push forward just a little more.
I'll make it eventually. I see it, a serene oasis, my destination.
I'm awakened by the cold of your voice, it was never there to begin.
i'll find it.
. . . or perhaps perish along the way. my fate was sealed from the moment
that soft whisper lost its way into my head. and now i chase something stuck
within the mind. not tangible but to me so real and existing. even just fraction
, is enough to sate my sanity. yet my mind waned, and day by day, as I traveled
further, i only fastened my tie to years bygone, years that had not happened (yet?)
still those days played on, and reality became unclear. and to perish, was a fate i had accepted
before this journey was ever a possibility within my mind.

"are you awake?" she asked.

and i replied; "are you real?"

and if serenity was too far behind, i was content with disheveled happiness.

madness or melancholy?

and in trying to fit together the pieces of a broken heart, it is natural you'll cut yourself

in trying to soothe a mind far gone, you'll only lose your own

and seemlessly, the parts fell together as I had dreamt

yet it was not a dream, for I am saying these things

and even the brightest light

will sometimes cease to shine

leaving you in the dark

those with paper hearts shouldn't play with matches

look at the embers of our yesterday

summer soft, hotter than july

like passionate butterflies from an angel

this dream of ours, will be tangible, someday

and when heaven is at our finger-tips

i'll keep this feeling in mind

"if there is one, then i hope to be then as-well."

and they were certain of nothing else in life

natural disaster,

my baby has been around for me,,

kingdom's have fallen

angels be calling,

none of that could ever make me leave,

those tangible ghosts

will always come back to haunt me

those demons of myself and the past

subtle everyday apparitions of the

little things i hate- but they melt

and we are different people
