"we're all that i want. forever and always. what else compares?"

[King Andre]

He sat, caramel complexion hand supporting his head as he leaned forward at the kitchen table. Bright light filtered into the nicely colored kitchen. Breakfast time, the best meal of the day...right? Before him sat her, fork in hand but her black eyes were trained on him, as if she were waiting for something. He looked down at his plate again and bit back a grumble; scrambled eggs. He'd hated eggs ever since he was a child, and might as well have been allergic with how they made him react. The stench permeated the room and made it hard for him to breath, and he wanted to lurch over and hurl by being so close.

But she made them. He couldn't not eat the eggs, could he? He loved her too much not to, especially considering she was still rather new to cooking. He had to protect her self esteem and confidence. He had to eat them, but god he really didn't want to. Maybe if he just tried to expla-, dammit she's looking at him with that face, his heart just about melted. "B-baby? Are you gonna try the eggs...?"

"Of course." He smiled nervously and looked down again at the plate, biting back a loud groan. With a shaky hand he picked up the fork and aimed for the eggs at a dramatically slow rate. He began trembling so much, fork still slowly traveling to the plate, the table itself began vibrating.

"D-"

"Sorry I'm just,,, i think i might have the shivers. I might be getting sick."

"Oh you know what i read helps with that? Eggs, you know protein and all that!" She said cheerily.

"Huh,, did not know that."

Oh great. His fork picked up the mess of food, and brought it close to his mouth. The woman before him's eyes lit up with excitement, and dimmed when the seconds past and it wasn't in his mouth. Seconds turned into nearly a minute and she narrowed her eyes, crossing her arms as she looked at him.

"I'm eating them see babe." He said, holding the fork close to his mouth as his hand shook so much that bits of egg fell off.

"Mhm. Put it in your mouth."

He let out a final whine before shoving what remained on the fork into his mouth.

And swallowed.

[King Andre]

"of course! you light within me a fire only quenched by tender love's kiss."

[King Andre]

"and in their mind, their love was clandestine."

[King Andre]

I can't ease your mind, which is filled with worry

I can't mend your heart, which is plagued by regret

My words are simple, and the mind they attempt to enter is complex and whirling like a tornado

So they can't help but be lost.

But when the tornado stops, you'll find their meaning to be true

That I'm okay,

and that is also all I ask of you.

and,

(he heard them talk)

but their words weren't directed at him

My two friends

Falling so care free

I see you both happy and a joy warms my heart

However to not heed the words of the friar himself

would be a foolish mistake

one, who is already so experienced, in the cruel natures of the soul

and the other who is innocent and precious, who looks on with eyes beholding grandeur

to you i say to be weary, of the endeavor you are chasing

however much you long for it

and to the other, i say to only be careful

for a thing such as a heart can only be put back together so many times

before the shards no longer fit

For who will put you both back together

When the core of you is no longer whole?

[King Andre]

And all he could do was wait -

Hoping that one day his wish would be answered

But deep down he didn't believe it would

And he cursed the ones he loved because of it

And in turn grew to hate himself because of it

His heart became stone as disappointment

eventually became expectation

and he was numb to the warm feelings of emotion

So much so that a pure and sweet soul would burn from the touch of his cold

And he would drown in the rose petals scattered in the ruins of what became of them

Regret? Sadness? Anger?

They were foreign to him now,, but he creates a wonderful caricature of compassion

If only to comfort the one who'd weathered the storm longest

But it was her presence,, or neglect

That triggered it all in the first place

And he became someone that he wasn't (previously).

Because she did.

Or were they just becoming who they were all along?

He didn't like it.

And he was sorry for those that had to witness it.

And (became) self loathing for caring so much

A part of him truly did hate himself for harboring certain feelings.

But it would come to pass

And it would happened whether it was a good thing or not.

This too, will come to pass.

but he said-

"i think im okay."
