Guys, you's're dead! It's been like a week, lol.

Realise vs. realize, for example. I do occasionally, but I think I've ~most~ly~ got it under control now?
S/Z words, at least, are easy, because the Z just looks wrong to me XD

Also, I've posted the short-story I wrote for this year's Pet and Craft Day! It's here if anyone's interested :D
I've also made a small thread for the odd short-story/one-shot I write; it can be found here c:
Thanks, if you're able to check them out! :D

Do you have trouble with British vs. American spelling?
Ehh, to an extent.I'm Canadian, and we use British Engish over here. Aso known as Real English you uncultured swines. Buuut spellcheck doesn't always recognize British English, AND in Canada, we usually put the z in recognize so there's no happy medium. Not to mention the other ways of spelling things had been ingrained in my head because of alllllllllllllllllllllllll the stuff (good stuff, might i add) written by Americans.

So yeah, even though my country usually uses British English, it's a bit confusing.

Haha, yeah, sometimes. I mean, I'm used to American spelling here on CS since most people here use it, but that's making me have a couple of close calls in my writing, like 'color' instead of 'colour' ^^;

Writing prompts are great, but I find I often have to use a whole new set of characters for them. So yeah, I like either - prompts for when I'm stuck and need to get something out. (like today, where was your prompt when I needed it like an hour ago. XD) but I like writing freelance with my own characters.

also Ranger you need to do something to your signature, it's been a wip for months. XD

Can one freelance prompts? I've done literally hundreds of prompts and sometimes everything slips together just right and sometimes... I bend the prompt rather than bend the characters.
(But then again, I have an enormous cast to pick from)

If crediting me for art/character design then please use TheSongOfTheStars on Toyhou.se
or FiveSecondsToFly on deviantart for anywhere else

I join a while ago, but never got around to post on here, so I thought I'd join the conversation^^

Honestly, I'm more of a freelancer. I prefer writing stories from scratch, although writing from prompts is helpful if I'm stuck on ideas or characters xD

Do you enjoy writing from prompts, or are you more of a freelancer?

Depends what kind of prompts.

I like prompts like "Write a poem in reaction to another text" or "Write a poem about a personal experience in the third person" because they are both very general (leaving many options open for me to choose from) and help me think outside the box (before I got these prompts, I almost never wrote things like that, so it broadened my frame of ideas). I also enjoy the kind where you write down a list of 10 characters and then you get a list of prompts and questions that have random characters interact in random ways. These two kinds of prompts are my favorites, but another kind I sometimes like are the ones with just one word: this can work or not work depending on your inspiration.

Prompts that provide me with a plot starting point, a quote, or a picture usually don't inspire me much. I'm sure they're helpful and inspiring for other people, though. Also, it depends on the plot, quote or picture: there are always some that are more inspiring than others.
